Members trc123 Posted January 13, 2010 Members Posted January 13, 2010 I have to ask, why is Fox News treating the earthquake in Haiti as a 3rd or 4th page news item while CNN is wall to wall with front page type coverage? This is huge....devastating, massive loss of life and livelihood. Quote
Members Psalms18_28 Posted January 13, 2010 Members Posted January 13, 2010 While I watch Foxnews now and then, but lately I feel like I am reading a tabloid with all these superstars news like divorces or who had the lastest cosmetics surgery and such on their website. Quote

What time where you watching? I'm watching Fox News and their coverage is practically non-stop on the earthquake. Perhaps they just didn't have any info yet???? I never did understand non-stop coverage of an event when all they can say is "We don't know" and "There is no news yet." Of course, I'm only guessing???? Quote
Members trc123 Posted January 13, 2010 Author Members Posted January 13, 2010 It was earlier today. I notice they are now wall to wall. I'm figuring CNN had people already there and could report something whereas Fox News prOBably didn't have anyone already there and were trying to get people there.................... Quote
Members Psalms18_28 Posted January 13, 2010 Members Posted January 13, 2010 I'm talking about their website. I expect Foxnews to be more professional than that. but I guess it's the people who work for them. Who knows they could be anti-fox news (very common if you are a democrat) Quote
Members Psalms18_28 Posted January 13, 2010 Members Posted January 13, 2010 it seem to me that those concrete buildings are not good for earthquake prone environments. Quote

Members Psalms18_28 Posted January 13, 2010 Members Posted January 13, 2010 that sad. If they can't build a heavy building with good strong support, then don't build one at all. It's better to have lots of cheap stick houses or building than a poorly-made heavy buildings. Because you are less likely to die from it. Quote
Members amblivion Posted January 13, 2010 Members Posted January 13, 2010 Well, last night Foxnews had a huge picture plastered on their front page about the earth quakes. It was the top headline on their website. When I went to yahoo news and looked at their pictures, I was kind of mad. They had two pictures of dead people laying in the rubble from the earthquake. I don't want to see dead people. I sure wouldn't want to see my relative laying in the rubble lifeless. Sorry back on topic now. Quote
Members Psalms18_28 Posted January 13, 2010 Members Posted January 13, 2010 yeah, it can traumatize people seeing that. Quote
