The feminist ideal is for women to have not need of a man; especially a husband. They teach women to do for themselves and to only look to other women for any help.

It's a real shame, but many Christian parents and churches teach some of this as they teach their daughters/young women to forget about marriage but rather to attend college, get a good jOB, become successful and then maybe think about getting married...then work on the "American dream" for another dozen years before you begin to think about possibly having children.

Why do so many Christians teach their children to pursue money and "success", avoid marriage, and then act shocked when so many of their children end up pregnant out of wedlock, having shotgun weddings, bearing children unmarried, or even having abortions?
