My son is on his way back to college...flying. He has become stuck due to weather and cann't seem to get a flight out. Lord had mercy on him and a student by putting them in one another's path so they are praying, working and staying together. Two flight's have gone out but became full quickly! Please pray for my son and friend that they will be able to get the next flight out because they actually have one more leg to go after this!! My son has such a severe food intolerance this could quickly turn into a real serious prOBlem! Lord is teaching our dependance upon Him I realize yet we can still pray for their safety, clearness of thought and and His Peace for them, right?…

My Mom just called. My brother, Todd, was in a sledding accident. He was brought to the ER with either ruptured discs in his back, or his back is broken. The doctors are trying to figure it out. Also, my Grandma's doctors have said that she has about 1 more month to live. She is saved, thank God.

A friend of mine had visited Thailand to stay with his relatives and got into some sort of trouble that he was reluctant in disclosing. He had asked if he could borrow some money. Friday is the day I leave for school, I am pretty nervous. I want everything to be done to the glory of God. I will need to get a jOB once I get there. Additionally, there is a huge snow storm hitting tomorrow and Thursday. I would ask that you would pray for traveling mercies, as I travel up on Friday morning.

If you would really like to pray for someone who really needs it, consider 18 year old Kara. I've been following her for about 3 to 5 years, at this time she has had about 14 brain surgeries and at present time trying to recover from her last one. At this time she continues to leak CSF fluids from her last surgery. I met her mother on a health board, Kara and I share some of the same prOBlems in our heads and neck, but she seems to have it worse. I know that both her and her family would much appreciate all of your prayers.

One year ago, we had our roof replaced. We have been trying to get payment settled with this company, but they didn't give the proper paperwork to our insurance company. Meanwhile, the roofing company has been sending us bills with finance charges added on since we haven't made our payments. The insurance company told us that we are NOT to pay any finance charges since it is the roofing company's fault for not sending in the correct papers. We received yet another bill (with finance charges) and I called my insurance company. I have a prayer request for a young man and his wife who were in an auto accident - he was burned over most of his body (having been in the burning car for about half an hour before he was gotten out) and the wife has so many bones broken they say it will be about a year before she can even walk again. They have two children, 3 and 4, and she was pregnant and has lost the baby. Please remember these folks in prayer. Thanking God in advance for all He is doing.

Long time no see. I am just requesting prayer for many things lately. I am in a battle for the godly raising of my children. I need to stand strong and let God take control. It is hard when you know he's working in your life and people you pray for, but you don't know what the outcome is or how he is working. I am pretty much going by blind faith. I have no choice. I can do nothing else and the heart of another person seems to be getting harder. Also pray for the outcome of a meeting on Monday. That God is in control and will protect His own. Please pray for my Dad. He's not felt good all day. He's been feeling pressure in his chest and pain in his right arm (he has a bad heart and has had heart attacks). He's too stuborn to call his heart doctor or go to hospital. He's not saved but he won't listen to me in this area. My sister is going to check on him before bedtime (she lives next door to him) and I told him I'll go with him in the morning for his monthly blood checkup.

I don't know if it is ok to start a thread just for him, but I have a coworker named Andrew. I have been talking to Andrew for a few weeks now about the Lord and been trying to get him to church. I would really like to try to get him in church on Sunday. We are having our Christmas Program and Pastor will be preaching a straight forward Salvation Message. Also I think it would spark his interest to come if it was to hear me sing, which I am. Pray that the Lord would prepare Andrew's heart even now. Thanks!!

As some of you may or may not know, my family isn't very faithful to church at all. Most of the time I go to church alone. I would like for you all to pray for the things of the Lord to become more important to my family, most importantly faithful church attendance. Additionally, looks like my brother-in-law just got thrown on the grid for an expected ship out date of March to Afghanistan. I complete agree brother, we younger people are taught as you said that we are the descendants of primates, we are then taught that as you’ve mentioned about the new view of the Bible, that our religion is wrong and backward, a very sad thing in todays education. I hear it even from teachers and peers who would profess to be Christians.

It's strange how the Bible was held in such high esteem then, but that after this trial, not so very far from where I live today, the Bible is no longer welcomed into the classroom, and we are now considered to be the proginy of monkeys. It's so very sad. -
Hello brothers and sisters, I was recently given the assignment of writing a paper on the infamous Scopes V. Tennessee trial. I found it quite interesting how the defense attorney, Clarence Darrow, had no genuine argument or examination of the evidence itself. He instead called the prosecuting attorney, Mr. William Jennings Bryan, as a sole witness and ridiculed his faith, interpretation of the Bible, and his view of the creation account.
