God used this evil king, King James, to make a great Bible, along with great men. scholars of the days, and those men that fear God, they also feared the king. Don’t mess up, or off with your head.

I understand we don't have the originals. But I thought the copies of them are in such a massive amount that we can trust that we know what the originals said.

Have anyone here purchased this Bible yet, it has been out for a while. I imagine that it is good, but I wouldn’t pay $60 for it, unless I would buy it to sell it for more later, as a collector's item in the future. Donald Trump is selling a 'God Bless the USA' Bible for $60 📖 https://www.npr.org/2024/03/27/1241186975/donald-trump-bible-god-bless-usa

SCOFIELD https://historicist.info/scofield/the-satanic-influence-on-the-scofield-bible/ The Satanic Influence on the Scofield Bible Posted on March 17, 2024 by historicist Joseph Canfield in The Incredible Scofield provides a clue that helps unravel the mystery surrounding the Scofield Bible. He states that on the second page of the introduction to the first edition published in 1909, Scofield acknowledged that he had been influenced by two Oxford Bible scholars, B.F. Westcott and F.J.A. Hort.1 Scofield traveled to Oxford University just prior to the publication of his Bible. At the time, these two men…

https://www.febc.edu.sg/article/def_the_inside_story_of_westcott_and_hort The Inside Story of Westcott and Hort Charles Seet Their Lives and Work Brooke Foss Westcott (1825–1901), and Fenton J A Hort (1828–1892) were two renowned Anglican scholars at Cambridge University. They were known to be the chief architects of the critical theory which resulted in the revised Greek Testament which has replaced the Textus Receptus (TR) or Received Text. At the age of 23, in late 1851, Hort wrote to a friend: “I had no idea till the last few weeks of the importance of texts, having read so little Greek Testament, and dragged on with the villainous Textus R…

https://cprc.co.uk/articles/aboutwestcottandhort/ Things You Should Know About Westcott and Hort (Promoters of the Critical Text) Before you join in the hordes that are accepting the Westcott and Hort Greek Text, it is important to know who and what they were. The theories of Westcott and Hort are what most of our modern translations are built upon. B. F. Westcott rose through the various offices of the Anglican church finally becoming a Bishop. He believed in the apostolic succession of the Anglican priests through the Roman Catholic succession, supposedly from the apostle Peter. He was a worshipper of the Virgin Mary, a lover of ritualistic church services…

https://brandplucked.com/nodoctrinechanged.htm No Doctrines Are Changed? I often hear those who criticize the King James Bible and defend the multiple modern versions say: "Well, no doctrines are changed in the different versions." But is this true? Not at all, as we shall soon see. The Number One Doctrine that has been destroyed by today's Bible Babble Buffet versions is the belief in the Infallibility of the Bible! Recent polls show that the majority of professing Christians no longer believe in the Infallibility of the Bible and among seminarians and professional clergy the percentages are in the 90's of those who do not believe that any…

Within The Holy Bible, neither the word “Scripture[s]” nor “inspiration” are EVER - not even once are they - applied in reference to any object that is so called ‘The Original’. There is no such as ‘The Original’, though they may be fun to tout around as an imaginary debunker/fact checker against the words of God. Before proceeding, let me repeat once again: Biblically, neither ‘inspiration’ , nor ‘Scripture[s], is ever a reference to any such thing as this supposed imaginary object known as “The Original”. If the Scriptures are not accessible today (in view of the fact that there are none of “The Originals”), then, that makes the Holy One of Israel a liar and a fraud - w…

I just found this website today, April 19, 2024. Never heard of him. Can you relate any experiences you've had concerning him or his ministry? From the home page: https://kjvevangelist.com/ "Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ, We are, Jack and Barb Koons; Evangelists to America, and as the Letterhead states; “Promoting the King James Bible, and Refuting Calvinism, and Arminianism”. The quote below comes from The Indestructible Book by Dr, David L. Brown, The Old Paths Publications, 2015, page 76. ISBN 9780998777894 "Then there is the exciting discovery of The Magdalen Papyrus. Dr. Carsten Peter Thiede, Director of the Institute for Basic Epistemological Research in Paderborn, Germany, uncovered it," (in 1994). "I should note that Dr. Theide is not a Textus Receptus (Traditional Text) supporter! Dr. Thiede examined three New Testament fragments called The Magdalen Papyrus because it was donated to Magdalen College in Oxford, England. These fragments were originally acquired in Luxor, Egypt in 1901. In 1953 they were dated …

I am posting this anonymously because I have to, due to security concerns in our area of ministry but some of you would recognize me if I posted on my other account here. I am an IFB missionary working with a small team to translate the first Bible for the ____ language. We are translating from the Textus Receptus. We are experiencing active persecution from the religion of our people, recently a mob came to one of our church meetings and beat two of our translators and have consistently threatened us. We have completed translation work of Chapters 1-3 in John, and are in the final step for John 4, and we have finished the first draft of Chapter 5, we have als…

I have understood the preservation of God's Word thru all generations to be the available access to translate the original copies. I have heard though the teaching that the KJV, and older Bibles before it are the only ones that have preserved it rightly. I am not sure about this and would like to know how someone arrived at this teaching. I believe the Bible is inerrant, infallible etc..but have understood that to be the original copies.. not later translations. The flaw in this is that God is preserving the Word in all generations..and so the original copies aren't that. I thought that that flaw in reasoning is mitigated by the fact of the original…
