  1. Sorry about that! LOL Shows where my brain is this morning! Exalt, Edify, Evangelize It's served us well for several years now!
  2. Ours tried that one year, but most liked the church motto and stuck with that.
  3. Sad...truly sad...but, they'd been heading that way for years.
  4. I don't know that he believes that Jesus was "just a man." He's been pretty clear on some venues that he believes Jesus was the Son of God, the only begotten of the Father. Yet, his discernment on the whole issue seems to be questionable. It could be that he's just saying that to soothe over the issue and to continue to be successful in this venture. I notice that Kirk Cameron seems to have swallowed the Mormon Kool-Aid as well. UGH!
  5. Twitter stuff? Okay. You're welcome for coffee anytime. If you're ever in the area, let us know. ?
  6. Do you have statistics to back up that assertion? I don't believe it's that high of a percentage. We've got to be factual when we make statements like this or we're just as guilty of reporting "fake news" as the MSM. But, you're correct in the belief that ANY seeing this as acceptable is sad. It truly is. I'm really proud of them for forfeiting. It takes courage to stand up and be counted! Praise the Lord for those who do!
  7. Morales, can I ask what you're trying to say with that post from Sky News? It might have gone right over my head....wouldn't be too hard to do right now since I haven't had my coffee this afternoon! LOL
  8. Go figure...another nut from the land of fruits and nuts. This in no way had anything to do with the Lord or his work.
  9. Thanks. I play the piano, and used to play for several of the churches we've attended. I started playing when I was 9 years old and learned to play by listening to the radio.
  10. I've witnessed that with many preachers...Those pastors/speakers should be held to account. They're not representing the Lord in an appropriate manner. Some pastors are finally starting to call out and censure some of these types. Praise the Lord for that. Some churches don't live stream, but record to put up on YouTube later after editing. Editing is a good friend of many churches, and it surely is a friend of those in voiceovers. ?
  11. I couldn't dance if I wanted to! It would be hard to dance with a cane! ?
  12. What's more amazing is that someone is so bored that they go back and dig this thread up. ?
  13. That's YOUR opinion...and you're welcome to it. I know many who use it, including Evangelist Tim Lee. I myself use it on occasion.
  14. The MSM is doing all they can to squash every mention of this, just like they're trying to hide the CDC's statement on masks not working.
  15. I don't believe many church members applaud as a form of praise to man, but as an affirmation that they agree, and are praising God. Also, having drums in the church isn't wrong....they way some play them IS. The Bible tells us in Psalm 150 this.... Psalm 150:5-6 King James Version 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150:4 King James Version 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Uh oh! We're not praising him in the dance. Something else to think about.
  16. That's acceptable. It's their church, they can do what they want. I'm not a member there. I just don't see it that way. If they're a church, they need to be accessible in every way possible...They're not.
  17. Morales...what is a church supposed to be doing? Outreach...building the kingdom. We as individual Christians, THE CHURCH, should be doing so. I believe that if Pastor Stoddard wants to limit his outreach, that's his and his church's business, but I don't agree with it. Yes, some want to limit their being in the view of others.
  18. Our new drummer since the assistant pastor became pastor of another church in the area is a bit more subdued. The only contestation that I have with it being used is that it is SELDOM used in the CCM, but is always added to the hymns to "jazz it up" for the younger generations. It's become so common that most in the older generations don't sing any longer. I can understand their frustration.
  19. Drums have been in our church for as long as we've been members. I see nothing wrong with drums in the church as long as they're not the prominent instrument as far as a "driving beat." In the past, it has been, on occasion. Some of our members, including me, have gone to the pastor about this, and it was toned down, but, it had always seemed to creep back up, especially since it was the assistant pastor who was the drummer. Instrumentation of any kind, in and of itself, is not nefarious.
  20. My wife and I used to be in contact with BWM....We used to support several missionaries at that time.
  21. My wife and I weren't able to attend. After five straight weeks of being able to attend in person, it wasn't something we wanted to miss. But, a cardio/pulmonary incident prevented us from being there. I still haven't watched it online. I have an appointment with the doctor this morning....UGH!
  22. That's sad...They should open their live stream up to everyone and turn the comments off. They're not reaching everyone if they're not presenting themselves to the public. There's such a thing as being too "INDEPENDENT."
  23. Sorry, but many of us here HAVE watched it and find many of the "backstories" to add far too much in the way of artistic license. If we don't guard our minds, error can and does often creep in. At any rate, welcome to OnlineBaptist.com...you might want to go into the section where you can introduce yourself and tell us a little bit more of who you are, what church you go to, and what you're doing for the Lord, and what HE'S doing in you. Have a great Monday. ?
  24. Yep. My grandparents used to have a mobile home (second home) that they lived in during the winters in Mesa just outside of Phoenix. I have family in Phoenix still today. My wife and I had considered moving there years ago, but the Lord led us elsewhere.
