  1. It's very possible. I'll have to do more research on it. Never quite looked at it that way.
  2. TGL very seldom gives any specific instances. His posts are usually pretty vague and sensationalized.
  3. My dad passed away from colon and lung cancers in June of 2000. I had just become disabled at 38 with bilateral Menieres disease. I had just had an attack during our visit to Augusta Georgia to see him. I was very nauseous and said something about it, and Dad said something about how he was after chemo the day before. He really made me think and consider how much worse he and others had it. I took my meds for nausea and vertigo and slept for a few hours and felt better. Dad didn't and had to be admitted to the hospital. I was thankful that my own circumstances didn't call for that. He passed away two months later. He was 3 weeks shy of his 60th birthday.
  4. Being a Kennedy, I can fully understand his thinking this.
  5. That's for sure. The past 11 years have flown by for me.
  6. I have a feeling that he might be right though the CIA is prohibited from killing US citizens on US soil. But, I don't believe that's ever stopped them before.
  7. I'm using my Android, and it looks pretty good! ???
  8. Wow! You still be a youngun'! LOL
  9. Wow! You're 4 years older than me. Jim is the same age as my mother and my biological father.
  10. There are some who get all of those things that don't vote for these people. And to tell you the truth, I know several people who are involved with the LGBTQ+ crowd, and some from the abortion supporting crowd who vote conservative and who believe in conservative family values. They've just got a distorted view of human sexuality. Being homosexual or believing that abortion is okay doesn't necessarily equate with your point of view.
  11. Glad they had a good time. Pastors need some fellowship and relaxation, too. The chicken with pasta that you and your mom had sounds good. I've never tried it from an air fryer. We're going to have to get one. ?
  12. One of the best things he did was to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem as so many others had promised but failed to do. He does have some very good deeds to his name.
  13. Tonight we had baked chicken breast (they were so big I had to split on with my wife), my famous baked beans, and macaroni salad. I was going to fry the chicken, but, I had a sick dog to attend to as well. Little Pepper Ann, our youngest furbaby...a black Labrador Retriever, is running a fever and is being very clingy this afternoon. She would come up and lean so hard into me that I nearly lost my balance....so, I decided to put the chicken in the oven. The pup is feeling better now that she has slept on my feet a bit, and because of my having to split the chicken breasts, we now have supper for tomorrow night as well. I just have to decide on another side dish to go with the baked beans. PTL!
  14. That's not nice, Morales. ?
  15. My choice would be DeSantis as well. Mr. Trump is doing his best to malign him, and that just proves to me that he's envious of the support DeSantis has gained. If Trump becomes the Republican nominee I guess I will be forced to vote for him. But, I will be holding my nose while doing so. His actions at the end of his term, January 6th included, though I don't believe he incited violence, was not that of a responsible adult, nor of a POTUS.
  16. I like it. I like being able to make it look a little different. Thanks.?
  17. Oh, I see.? The changes in format! LOL. I nearly got off the site until I saw that it was the correct URL. It does look pretty good, though.
  18. My comments were just for point of reference and in no way meant to be argumentative. ?
  19. What would make you feel like that? ?
  20. Still trying aren't you, "Doc?" I thought this subject matter had been established by now.
  21. You're correct...it is confusing. Praying for clarity of mind and peace in your heart and mind.
  22. Interesting, yes. Literal? Not quite there on being dead. And on "whale" ? that could be... again, interesting. For all the " we've got a perfect Bible in English" I have heard from over the years, I can understand (though I don't necessarily agree with them) their skepticism when people keep going back to the Greek. Seems to leave room for doubt.
  23. A friend and pastor from Joliet, Illinois, Dr. Dale Steenhoven, was in the hospital these past few days. They took a biopsy of a growth on his neck, and they believe it to be lymphoma. They're not sure how treatable this is if it is cancer, but, I'm sure that he would appreciate your prayers. Brother Steenhoven has been the pastor of a Baptist church in Joliet Illinois for over 40 years, being it's founding pastor. Thank you in advance for your prayers as we wait for the results of the biopsy. BT
  24. I was so glad to read that the churches that fellowship in the Southern Baptist Convention voted to disallow women as pastors. Seems like Rick Warrens petitioning and passing out handbills at the meetings in NOLA didn't help him much. Other churches with female "pastors" were also not allowed to rejoin the ranks of churches in "friendly cooperation" with the churches of the SBC. https://www.baptiststandard.com/news/baptists/sbc-approves-amendment-limiting-pastorate-to-men/
  25. I've never really held him in high regard. He, from what I've been told, is okay as a governor, but, most I've talked to from his state said that they wouldn't vote for him as a candidate for POTUS. I would have to say I agree. Something is missing, and to tell the truth, just because someone attended BJU or any other Christian institution of higher learning doesn't make them presidential material.
