  1. Though we had to stay home because of temperatures for both my wife and myself (the 3 dogs were sick, too) we got to watch some of it online. Today was the "Testimonies from VBS." Very glad to hear that many of our new youngsters got saved and are ready to be baptized. Some of the older kids gave their lives to the Lord. We're praying that they all stay on the right paths.
  2. How much longer do we have to contend with this disruptive behavior? Doc's proven time and again he's only here to promote his unbiblical stances. We had far less tolerance of an outspoken Calvinist a while back.
  3. Even with the use of satire you are trying to push your "egalitarian" views. You really take the cake ?, "Doc." Really? I mean, REALLY? ???
  4. That's very possible. I haven't been there since 1979 with the exception of time I crossed over the border while on the lake fishing in 1980. Wow! 43 years can bring a lot of changes in policy, especially in light of the terrorist attacks of 2001. I have no desire to go to PR. ?
  5. Many people who have been "healthy as a horse" have caught Covid, the flu, and other diseases. Having all the vitamins and minerals is no guarantee of health. Sorry, I don't buy your analysis of the situation. I have enough family in the health and pharmaceutical industries to know better.
  6. True. Biden is trying his best to make sure this happens. One more reason to want him out of office. He doesn't want an independent United States. The One World system is well on its way. Digital passports, digital currency, and everything digital so that every facet of our lives is under government control.
  7. I've never had a passport, and I probably never will. I don't feel the need to travel outside of the United States and Canada.
  8. There should be no "round two." Pushing an incorrect exegesis should be stopped. The "Doc" wasn't confident enough to leave his thread open, so he closed it only to start pushing the same narrative here on this thread. Desperate move if you ask me. As for Rick Warren, he's not making any friends in the churches that fellowship in the SBC. He's pushing a false interpretation of the Word of God, instead trying to please man instead of God, just as he did with his books on the church building...The Purpose Driven Life. I saw more churches destroyed because of the ideology he pushed in those books, than I saw helped. Shameful. Yet, he has no shame, and he' proven that by trying to fight the decision by the SBC to disfellowship the church he used to pastor. They truly shouldn't even allow him a platform at the convention...yet, they are. Shameful of them to do so.
  9. I disagree heartily. I have watched the story and still disagree with your exegesis and ideology.
  10. Still trying to push your ideology? Really? Nobody here is against missionaries. Hope you realize that this is far different from being a pastor. You're not gaining any points here.
  11. Just so it's understood that she was not a perpetual virgin, which you've already acknowledged. The RCC won't. They are always elevating her above Jesus Christ. Sad, really.
  12. Ah, I see.? Believe me, I wouldn't mind moving back if it didn't mean so much change. There are several good churches in that area... Victory Baptist in N. Augusta, South Carolina, West Augusta Baptist Church (at least that's what they used to be called), and others in S. Augusta. Medical care would probably be better there than here. We can buy a 3 BR, 2 BA 1400 sq. ft home there for around $190K. We can sell our current house for $345K. That would leave enough for us to live on for several years.
  13. Our resident alarmist. TGL's okay, though.
  14. Why do you think this, TGL?
  15. Southeastern Georgia? I sincerely doubt that. I have an ex-brother-in-law who is a pastor down that way.
  16. I've only glanced at the Libertarians. I haven't really studied any of them since 2016.
  17. I read a lot of Matthew Henry as well. I read some Alaister Begg since I get his devotional every morning. But, when I get one that starts spouting "election" I break it off. I don't like pushy Calvinists.
  18. My wife was born and raised in Augusta Georgia. We're considering moving back there soon. We'd probably live across the Savannah River on the South Carolina side.
  19. I think we both are a part of the problem. I have to travel I-24 and I-840 here and they're both terrible. You're right, though. We live way out in the country, and the scenery can't be beat. We can see Mt. Pleasant and the foothills from here. We're in a valley. It reminds me of Southern Indiana where I was born and raised for the first seven years of my life. My wife was in an auto accident that nearly claimed her life on I-24 back in December of 2015. It closed down the Eastbound lanes for four hours.
  20. Tennessee Best: No personal income tax, great weather (all four seasons with winter being truncated), and a pretty good legislature and governorship. Worst: Too much LGBTQ+ promotion, too much heavy traffic especially on I-24 by renegade truck drivers, and RINOs representing us in the US House of Representatives.
  21. I haven't seen any coverage of this in the MSM. Sad.
  22. It's not my nose I'm worried about! ????
  23. And it's BrotherTony by a nose! LOL ?
  24. I thought this thread was about the validity of women pastors. You seem to keep introducing rabbit ? trails at every turn. Your "gender neutral" theory has been addressed by several here, yet you refuse to hear and accept those interpretations...yet we are supposed to WILLINGLY accept yours. No thanks, Doc.
  25. I think those scriptures have been clearly presented time and again. Just because you refuse to accept them in no way negates their validity. Hardly, friend. You've done your best to be disrespectful and disruptive here. You know this is Baptist site, and yet you've come here and consistently tried to introduce misinterpretation of scripture to fit your own ideology.
