I disagree because your same principle would apply if you had an overweight parent who wanted a donut. I don't think it is the right of the child to say "No, dad, this donut is not good for you, I refuse to get it for you" if the child lives under the parent's roof. Did the father work to buy the food? Then it is not for the child to control the parent's appetite.

Should a child take a parent's cigarette away? No, the dad bought it, it is his, it is not the right of the child to take it away, even if it is a terrible choice.

If a dad is speeding in the car, should the child say "Stop the car, I refuse to ride with you"? No, that is ridiculous.

A child living under his parents' roof should obey his parents unless the parent is specifically telling the child to sin according to God's Word.

Scripture does not teach us the honoring of parents ends when the child leaves home. It is quite the opposite.
