Narrow vs Broad

[Behold]

Reader,

Jesus died on the CROSS, which is the only WAY you'll get to go to heaven,. John 14:6

Now let me show you this verse as Matt 7.

Matthew 7

The Broad WAY... vs.. the NARROW WAY.

1.) BROAD is the WAY, (the means and the method and the path) = to DESTRUCTION...

The BROAD WAY.. .is any WAY, any means, any RELIGION or SELF EFFORT to try to go to heaven, or to to be accepted by GOD>.

This is.."there is a WAY that seems right to a person"..... 
This is all the "" BROAD WAY that leads to "DESTRUCTION">.= and that is HELL........as HELL is the ""2nd DEATH, or outer darkness"", and that is to be eternally separated from GOD, who "exists in LIGHT"< and Jesus is the LIGHT of the WORLD.. and all the born again, are "children OF THE LIGHT."


2.) the Narrow WAY......, see that? What is that WAY, = that is NARROW, as compared to the BROAD WAY ??

Narrow, vs BROAD.

The Narrow WAY, is the CROSS of CHRIST, because Jesus said that its the ONLY WAY.. John 14:6. the single way... which makes it NARROW, vs BROAD.

See it?

So, the GATE, is JESUS,  The GATE is the CROSS OF CHRIST.. The GATE is to be "Justified by FAITH".... because Jesus is the only DOOR who leads the SHEEP to God.. He is SALVATION, that is Narrow, because JESUS is the ONLY WAY (Gate) TO THE FATHER.. = "but by ME">. He told us.

That's  a Narrow gate, as that is the only ONE that God offers so that By the Blood Atonement, All who Believe can be restored into Eternal Relationship with God.... as "One with God" "in Christ".

What is "religion"?

Its man trying to understand God.  Its man trying to reach God.  And its man trying to become God.

Sometimes its man trying to get rid of God...

What is Christianity?

It's God become a Man. Its God become ONE of US< to save all of us..

James 1:27... This description of religion doesn't fit with yours. In a couple of your posts now you've made mention of preaching the doctrines of Paul. Yes, Paul did convey to us what the Holy Spirit wanted him to preach and teach. I've dealt with others who have made mention just as you have, of Paul, and have tried to put religion in a way you have.. I'll take what is written in James over opinion every day. I'll also bring to mind 1 Corinthians 3:4-6. I do the same with those who put Calvin before the Lord. Now, I'm not saying that you are putting Paul before everything, but, it comes close in my honest opinion.

Now..

The context of your verse (James) is that """ BEFORE GOD""", = that is a  perfected religion... those deeds James is describing.

So, religion that is not bible based, that is not related to God's Love, would be ...Any other.

Islam

Scientology

Mary Baker Eddy

Gnosticism

Hinduism

Science

So, all of these, are man made, and all of those are not related to how God would even define =  religion. (As James is teaching).

And as  you might notice if you read my post more carefully @BrotherTony... i implied that Christianity is not a Religion, as its not a religion.

James is not stating that Christianity is a Religion, he's only teaching that "before God" or in God's viewpoint a religion that is undefiled. (pure service) would be helping Widows and Orphans and keeping yourself clean in and from the world.

And how do you know that James isnt teaching that Christianity is a religion?

Its because none of those things He is talking about can save you, if you do them all your life.  And in fact if you gave your body to be burned for God,  and spent your whole entire life helping orphans and widows, and you lived as holy as you know how.. then when you die, you'll go to hell, if that is all you are.....

Why?  

Because Jesus said to go to heaven, "YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN" ( KJV), and being born again is not a religion. Its a Spiritual Birth whereby the believer, born again,  becomes "One with God" "in Christ".... for all eternity.

So, a RELIGIOUS person, that James is describing can do all that, and a believer can do all those religious works, as well.
