Church members always looking for the perfect church

It must be very hard for a preacher after many years training members how to seek and serve God to see these members just walk out, from the church membership, for no good reason. Humans are always looking for the perfect church. Even if they know they’ll never find one because the church is full of repentant sinners, and the perfect church will be when Christ come back. But this still keeps happening everywhere. I don’t know what’s wrong with our pastor he seems not to be the same anymore. Just saying, Can you please tell me when you find the perfect church thanks.

Pastors aren't above doubting their ability when people leave the church. Most don't have that problem, but some do. There have only been three churches in 45 years that I have left during the middle of a service in protest of what was being preached, or what was going on. One was when the pastor of the church was defending a pastor who was a friend of his who was pastor of another church. That pastor had been accused of child abuse, pedophilia, and so was his wife. The pastor and his wife who had been arrested in our state, were graduates of a Bible college in Indiana, and were being suppoted legally and with financial gifts from the Indiana church. When our pastor got up and had a rant about how this man was being railroaded, in spite of the overwhelming evidence of his guilt, my wife and I looked at each other with disgust, and we grabbed our Bibles and walked out of the service. The pastor was a former student (don't remember if he was a graduate of the college, but the assistant was), and we couldn't back this any longer. The pastors example hadn't been all the great the previous six months, and we kept feeling a nudge to leave.

My wife and I have NEVER looked for a perfect church. If it were one, and we joined, it would be one of the most imperfect churches around. We are FAR from perfect. I don't believe most members would just up and leave their churches looking for something better for no reason. At least, it's not something we've experienced.
