Jesus as God is called Jehovah. She is not the mother of Jehovah (the LORD), Elohim (God), El Shaddai (God Almighty), or any other name or title that the true God is called in the Bible. She bore His human body - He is BOTH God and man. "Call it that if you’re stuck and can’t understand the Bible."? Who else was she the mother of? Jesus brothers? Jehovah SENT Jesus- you can’t understand the Bible? Quote
Members Jerry Posted May 2 Members Posted May 2 Jehovah/the LORD is the name of the true God - ALL three members of the Trinity, not just the Father. You could easily see that if you were saved and studied your Bible by noticing the OT quotes of LORD in the New Testament, applied to Jesus. 24 minutes ago, Thinking said: Who else was she the mother of? Jesus brothers? Actually, yes. Thinking 1 Quote

That's a new one! I AM saved, and have carefully studied the Bible (diff translations) for 50 years. I surprised you don't realize "the Lord" was a deliberate mistranslation - omitting the Name "Jehovah". Quote
Members Jerry Posted May 3 Members Posted May 3 You are on a KJB only website. We believe in every word of the KJB, including its translation of Jehovah and LORD. You are obviously not saved by grace alone through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ if you are calling Mary the Virgin Mary and the Mother of God. Quote
Members Jerry Posted May 3 Members Posted May 3 45 minutes ago, Thinking said: So, God's Name applies to all 3? Yup, the Father is God. The Son is God. And the Holy Spirit is God. It is the Trinity. They share the same name and attributes - distinguished by the terms Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Quote

It's full of so much error, and it's a form of English we don't use today! 10 hours ago, Jerry said: Yup, the Father is God. The Son is God. And the Holy Spirit is God. It is the Trinity. Jesus is God who became a man in order that He could die for our sins No angel ever became a man or vice-versa. 1 hour ago, Thinking said: WHY? It's full of so much error, and it's a form of English we don't use today! So says someone who bought the lie of the Critical Text and has never done his own research on the issue of Bible manuscripts. The King James Bible is the Bible that is fully based on the preserved Traditional/Received Text, and is what we solely use on this website. If you do not believe or use our Bible and do not share our faith, why are you even here? To mock us, to show your ignorance and disregard for what this site stands for, or to simply sow discord? Another one rejecting what Jesus said. No- he was pointing out that he was once a spirit, and angel of God, You sound more like a Jehovah's witness. And that was FAR from what he was saying. And the KJV using a form of the English language that was appropriate for that time doesn't make it less relevant because the English language has changed. We've explained this a couple of times now. Jesus was God the Son as the physical Son of God. It's really not that hard to understand. Quote

Members BrotherTony Posted May 3 Members Posted May 3 2 minutes ago, Thinking said: Then your answer is it WAS "Themselves"? No ..it NEVER was "themselves." God the Father sent God the Son to die to reconcile fallen man to himself. Comprehension doesn't seem to be in your grasp. Quote

Comprehension doesn't seem to be in your grasp. You repeat that as a mantra. Either Jesus was referring to THEMSELVES (Father, Holy Ghost, God-the-Son), or someone else. Quote
