I read this online reccently and wondered why people would trust in someone who puts Childrens lives in danger. When I read this I was angry but I am not surprised because it is the catholic chuurch.

Pope 'led cover-up of child abuse by priests'
The Pope played a leading role in a systematic cover-up of child sex abuse by Roman Catholic priests, according to a shocking documentary to be screened by the BBC tonight.

In 2001, while he was a cardinal, he issued a secret Vatican edict to Catholic bishops all over the world, instructing them to put the Church's interests ahead of child safety.

The document recommended that rather than reporting sexual abuse to the relevant legal authorities, bishops should encourage the victim, witnesses and perpetrator not to talk about it. And, to keep victims quiet, it threatened that if they repeat the allegations they would be excommunicated. ...

This whole scandal has been going on for years in the RCC. The RCC is full of so much corruption---and, that is why their are so many "fall away" Catholics. Many are Agnostics and Atheists. The RCC "thinks" they are the largest church in the world---but, they go on the number of infant baptisms. They are NOT the largest church in the world! One un-Godly thing after another. Yep, that is the RCC. They change the rules like a person changes their underwear---daily. Nothing they do suprises me anymore.

Years ago I watched the movie "The Godfather." It was actually a series of movies. Boy, did those movies expose the un-Godly RCC. I don't know how RCC people can watch that---and, still run off to Mass on Saturday night. Of course, this is to "get it over with." hehe. Then, some go off to party. Well, when you serve 7 year olds alcoholic wine at Communion---what do you expect. :eek :puzzled:

BTW, the worst critics of the RCC are the "rescued ones." Can't ya tell. LOL.

I knew that ever since I was offended in a Catholic Church because I didn't say Amen to get that stupid wafer at thie communion.

"The Jesus Cookie?" I always knew that the place was strange when I was growing up. I would cringe whenever I had to go to Mass. Of course, I practically had the whole Mass recited by the time I was 13. LOL. I kept thinking as a little girl (searching for the truth) that this can't be all there is to life? It was so meaningless and pointless. I questioned (as I looked at the crucifix) how much can I do to get into heaven? I mean...where does God draw the line? He has to draw it somewhere---and, I am not going to make it into those pearly gates. Thank the Lord that He saved me. I kept searching---until one day Jesus said, "I don't want you to search anymore." How great our Saviour is---that He took ALL of that sin debt for us on that cross of Calvary so that we don't have to worry about our works to get to heaven. :godisgood:

Ephesians 2:8-9...For grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest (that no man should glory) any man should boast. KJV 1611 AV.

Oh, Yeah. "The Jesus Cookie" has been used by Jack Chick ~ Chick Tracts. The first time I heard it---I burst out laughing. You're right, though, it does taste like a regular ice cream cone (a very small one, though.) I remember being really little and it was a "sin" in the RCC to eat before the Mass. My stomach would be rumbling all through the entire ordeal---and, that little thing---towards the end of Mass, didn't satisfy my hunger pains one bit. My parents would take us out to breakfast afterwards---then, we chowed down. I remember them using the "If your'e really good in Mass--- we'll go out for breakfast." There is no "Junior Church" in the RCC and no nursery, either. We would sit through all of that---and, just wait with eagerness to go eat breakfast.
