I don't know if they sunk his ship or not.  He's standing firm and I honestly think he'll beat this and come out smelling like a rose.  The indictment is very OBviously politically motivated. We shall see.

I do believe he will run again.  I think that is one of the reasons he has been so vocal about the border, and one reason he is handling it the way he is.

So far I think this incident is helping him. It's a long time before the next presidential election so it's hard to tell what all this will mean by then, but for the moment he's on an upswing.

Agreed.  Now Ted Cruz has stepped up to stand with him.  Texans really like Cruz (I do too; I know others don't), so that will likely help Perry as well.

Cruz as well as Palin have rallied to Perry and regardless of what the media says, this has good meaning for Perry and potentially for the Republican Party as a whole.

Yes, because of the Dem controlled area where the indictment was given. Of course, had the GOP there done as Perry wanted and allowed him to fire this person (which is his prerogative as governor), this wouldn't have happened.  So, it's at root the fault of some of those in his own party.  Figures, eh?

Too many Republicans still think if the "play nice" or try to placate the Dems or the media then they will like them and give them a break. That's not how it works. To the liberals, anyone to the right of them is an enemy that needs to be crushed, regardless of anything else.
