New To Forums And Looking For Advice.

hello my name is Joe. I live in Oklahoma and go to a I.F.B church. Started Bible college in the beginning of the year. I have been called to preach. I found this site by looking for a I.F.B. commentary if there is one. my main reason for joining is to see what everyone is reading. im having a hard time finding the rite people to read. my pastor tells me to read my bible but i feel i need more to understand it. i would love to hear from everyone on books, authors, and commentaries i should have as an I.F.B. preacher.

Currently, I am reading "Freedom to Give (The Biblical Truth About Tithing)" by Daniel Mynyk.

The author examines all the verses concerning God's tithe and the New Testament teaching on giving as written by the Apostle Paul, and reveals the error that many Churches have embraced for several centuries.

Hi Joe, welcome to OB.
I would advise you to follow the recommendations of your pastor. For the first years or two of my Christian life, I read nothing but the Word of God--there is plenty there to keep you busy! Until you have read the Bible entirely through at least once, you need to be careful about searching for "deeper" things, it's often a Pandora's box and can lead to many more questuions and doubts. There is no wisdom, no better reading, no greater truth than the Word of God in the KJB. Please stick with it; MAKE yourself read it if you have to, even the less interesting parts are useful later on.
