It's snowing to beat the band up here, probably about 1 1/2 inches an hour. We've got 3 inches since it started at about 8:45. How are things down state?

About the same where you are. I just hope it stops soon, the last storm was enough for me. Do you know how much we are supposed to get? I have not look at the forecast yet.

Where I am they are talking 5 to 8 inches with up to 12 inches above the Mass. Pike. The last series of snow (over 40 hours without ceasing) was enough for me. Had to run the snowblower 3 times in 3 days. Could definitely do without this latest string......

I'm Danbury right now, but heading back to Waterbury soon. Last storm it took me 2.5 hours for a 30 minute trip. :verymad:

Most of that was because people can't drive in the snow.

I hear you. When it snows like this I work from my home office as it takes me over 3 hours for a 45 min. drive. I sent all my staff home to work remotely. We are all on high speed internet and have secure connections in to our data center, we can do 100% of our job from anywhere in the world. I'd rather they get home safe and work there than wasting hours on the roads at the evening rush hour.

Lucky ducks! I think we must be the only "northern" city (area) who hasn't had any snow to speak of this winter yet! Just a few dustings, that's it. NO FAIR!
