Happy 4th of July

Thank God we live in a nation where you and I can go tomorrow and worship our God freely. I will join tomorrow with members of my local church and sing praises, pray, and listen to Bible based exposition.

It is good to be living in America.

O beautiful, for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.

O beautiful, for pilgrim feet
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine ev'ry flaw;
Confirm thy soul in self control, thy liberty in law!

O beautiful, for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness, and ev'ry gain divine!

O beautiful, for patriot dream

Heavenly Father,

May we use the freedom we are still blessed with to be about the Father's business rather than chasing the pleasures of the world.

One day, being about the Father's business will cost us far more than "pleasure", as such will be outlawed.

Praise God! Let us redeem the time!
