Members matie-k
Amen! We haven't had any storms here recently, but there was a wedding near us yesterday, and that means EARLY morning fireworks that woke us all up yesterday and also freaked our daughter out. :uuhm:
Members John81
They blast fireworks for just about everything don't they?
Members matie-k
Well, yeah, it would seem that way. I'm learning the routine around here finally. This must have been the bride's home, and they get up (or stay up all night?) really early and have a lot going on in the apartment. They buy a bunch of fireworks for the big exit of the apartment anywhere between 6-9:00, but since everyone in the home is up very early, there are guys who have nothing to do, so they decide to go try out a few fireworks between 4&5am because they're in the way and bored. I don't know if that's actually what's happening...just speculating. My daughter thinks weddings and fireworks always go together and talks about "someday when she gets married she'll have fireworks too!" Hmm...we'll see, kiddo! Members John81
Agreed! It's been a trying week or two around here. Storms, deaths within our church family; at least one more death looming. Then, of course, the daily trials and temptations that we constantly must deal with. I plan to spend some time this afternoon in the Word and prayer as I need to have my strength renewed like the eagles!

Members John81
Yeah, me too! Our pastor sent out an email about how draining the past couple of weeks have been and how it doesn't look to lighten up too soon. He requested more prayers during this time. His name is Bruce if anyone would care to mention him in prayer that the Lord may strengthen him and help him through this dark time.
