Members churchmouse7 Posted November 1, 2007 Author Members Posted November 1, 2007 Thanks for the continued prayer. Nothing happened Monday. Now the chief of the village has said for the men to return on Sunday. Quote

Members churchmouse7 Posted November 1, 2007 Author Members Posted November 1, 2007 Thank you...I sure do too. I can't imagine how scared Lena is right now. Last time I talked to her which was almost a month ago she said she was reading her Bible and praying. I told her to remember with God all things are possible. I appreciate your concern. I'll update if anything develops. In Christ Quote
Members churchmouse7 Posted November 10, 2007 Author Members Posted November 10, 2007 Contact was made with the people who have Lena and they have said that they will bring her to the city where the people in Nigeria who have been helping are. Please pray that all will go well. Please pray for Lena as we got word that she has been very sick. Supposedly they are bringing her on Monday however they have done this twice before and do not follow through. We have learned more information that makes it even more urgent that she be gotten out of the situation she is in. No one has seen her or been able to speak to her for 2 months now.I have contacted the State Dept and even sent an e mail to the vice president and received a letter from his office. I have contacted the US Embassy and social services here as well as International social services and no one is doing anything at all...it has been very frustrating. I have been told that it is ok for children to be left in other countries for educational and cultural purposes. If you abandoned your child in a store or on the streets that would be a crime but abandoning a child in a foreign and violent country is educational according to these people.Lena is with people who are trying to use her for their own gain she is in a village in the middle of the bush of Nigeria where ther is war and violence. Homes in the village she is in have been burnt down and the electricity had been shut off.I am very concerned about her well being...if you could please continue to pray. In Christ In Christ Quote
