I read both of them. The second one is quite well. The first one has lots of good info, just be careful; discern well.

I wasn't too sure what this meant in regards to prayer:

* for the blood of Jesus to cleanse the area

(this is in the first link)

Also he talks about use of the roman's road, which I highly do NOT recommend. (I plan to write an article called the roman's road to hell to explain further.

As a street preacher myself I can give you some advice, but remember do not let men's words or traditions be what you go by, let the Bible have the say.

1. Do not get discouraged or base any of your "success" or numbers (souls who become born-again) Rather base it on your obedience to the Bible.

-Noah in 120 years of preaching got 7 converts, was he successful? Yes he was obedient to God.
-Jeremiah was rejected and persecuted, was he a success? Yes he obeyed the Lord.

2. Be a preacher of righteousness

2 Peter 2:5
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Jude 14,15
14And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Acts 24:24,25
24And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
25And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

3. Preach to them whether they want to listen or not.

Ezek 2:5,7
5And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
7And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

Isa 58:1
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins

Oftentimes the some of the heathen hearers tell me to "be quiet", to leave and etc. I will tell them anyways, until they kill me or until they become born-again. Do not let their words sting you. Read Ezekiel 2.

4. Go to God in prayer.

Psalm 127:1
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

All your efforts are vanity without prayer. Cry out to God in total desperation. Do not make light of what you are doing; you are preaching the most precious pearl of all, the gospel.

5. Elevate yourself

Nehemiah 8:4
And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.

Acts 17:22
Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

Matt 5:1
1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

Elevation helps your voice to travel as well. I elevate myself almost every single time if possible. (I use a step stool tool box)

Study about the "greats": John Wesley, George Whitefield, Charles Spurgeon and etc. Study about the use of Law in evangelism

Gal 3:24
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Avoid foolish questions.

Titus 3:9
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Do not be afraid to offend (the truth should be offensive to some)

Luke 12:4,5
4And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Thanks Sean I appreciate your help.

This is something I am completely unfamiliar with. But, I really really really want to serve the lost. My heart breaks when I think of their condition and how I can help.

But, therein lies the rub.

I never have been streetpreaching. So I need the Streetpreaching 101 thanks for the help man.

I gather not many IFB members do this eh? :puzzled:

Something I thought I'd share about this and I hope I'm not off topic. I was out with a church and a group of young men sang and gave their testimonies right out on the street. Then the preacher did a painting as he also preached the Gospel to the people who stopped to listen. There was quite a crowd and a group of us handed out tracts to people and I got to witness to 4 people that day. This was not my own church and it was something totally different to me. The preacher really got a lot of people's attention. I have also seen people stand on corners and just start preaching. I myself will go out downtown or in parks and give out tracts and share the Gospel with those who are willing to take time and listen. I just thought I'd give you some different ideas of what I have seen and done.

In Christ

Most areas have rules about "street performance" which normally includes street preaching.

Check out your local authorities and find out what is legal.

Where possible we should abide by local laws and regulations - and most allow street preaching under certain conditions.
