I don't recall if I've shared any of this in another post so I thought I would share both accounts here.

 

Our church helps a church in the Philippines and among the help we provide is funding for two children to attend their Christian school who otherwise would be unable to attend. After attending for almost two years, both came to Christ this year. Their pastor sent us pictures of him baptizing them in the ocean.

 

A married couple from our church did a 6 month mission in Africa this year. Two people who ended up as part of the group they served with in Africa turned out to be unsaved. One even called herself an atheist! The only reason she was on the trip was because she had tried to trick her parents into letting her attend a secular college by telling them it was either that or she was going to spend 6 months as a missionary in Africa. Her parents said "great, go to Africa!" Her plan backfired but God's plan was just beginning! Both of those unsaved girls, including that atheist, were born again while in Africa. The couple in our church told about that today during Sunday school hour and shared pictures of them being baptized in a river. They also shared how they have stayed in contact with the former atheist and how she's a great and clear example of someone who is a new creature in Christ. She is so very different now than when they first met her and she has a real hunger for the Word, growing in Christ and serving Him. Her parents are thrilled!

 

It's wonderful how God moves so differently in different peoples lives to bring them to Christ! It's also amazing how God works through us, in so many different ways, to bring others to Christ.
