praying

Thank you for all those who are praying. The leader last week emailed expressing the desire to meet with us. The first encouraging contact, but rather late as our congregation has dispersed.

A significant meeting in August may be difficult. Our final meeting in the Gospel Hall will be our 148th anniversary, on Aug 22, with guest preacher, a summary of our history, & a survey of continuous missionary activity over the last 50 years.

Please pray now that we will be blessed & be a blessing to the churches where we will worship, & that the GB church plant will be a blessing to our multi-racial town.

Our 148th Anniversary went well - about 70 were present. Our former Pastor reviewed 50 years of continuous missionary activity & our preacher preached on"Ebenezer" (1 Sam. 7) He chose his text not knowing we meet in"Ebebezer Gospel Hall."

Our last meeting again was a time of blessing, so it was very sad that it was our last meeting there.

Were did meet with the leader of the GBs, but it does not seem we are in their plans for their church plant.

Our meeting continue in homes, beginning Tuesday with a missionary meeting with the principle of a Sri Lankan Bible College. We have supported them since before it was founded.

Sounds like a tough time of transition. Keep trusting the Lord and looking to Him and He will provide the way. Praying... :icon_pray:
