http://www.pickyourown.org/

That site gives you a listing of pick your own orchards and farms in your state, categorized by county.

A friend told me the other day that they had made some strawberry jam and I started kicking myself because I had planned on getting some strawberries and making some jam. I thought picking season was in June but it is actually in May here. :badday:

Anyhoo, I called a local farm anyway and the guy said they still had some but that this was the last week for them. I took all 4 kids and we picked 2 gallons in about 40 minutes. :thumb I now have 16 pints of strawberry jam sitting in my pantry. :hungry:

WOO HOO :hungry: :drool :hungry: :thumb

You betcha we like strawberry jam. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY!!!!!!!! :java:

It is soooooooo gooood. In fact it ranks right up there second only to black raspberry jam. Now that one has a flavor to die for. It will jump right up, slap you in the face, tickle your taste buds and make your tummy smile all at the same time. :drool :drool :drool :drool :drool :drool :drool :drool Imagine the subtle flavor of blackberry jam, but instead of being subtle it is about 500X more pungent, and with a most delectable bouquet.
