100th b-day of Marshall McLuhan: the 'global village' guy

Okay so today would have been the 100th b-day of Marshall McLuhan, the Toronto professor that invented the term 'global village'.

He also coined the phrase: 'the medium is the message'

Seems like he was right that the medium is indeed the message.

It's true from a practical point of view.

Even if it might not ideally be true from an ethical point of view.

Like, for some ppl, TV is an end in itself.

Anyway, up here ppl are commemorating his centenary.
