There are many theories about the year 2012. According to some on Dec 21st 2012 the earth will see cataclysmic events that will bring about the end of the world! So what will happen? Lets's look at a book that has prophesied the end of the world. The Bible says "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." (II Peter 3:10) Forget about 2012. You are not guaranteed tomorrow. If you died today. Where would you go? Heaven or Hell? The Bible says "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27) Are you good enough for heaven? Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God's name in vain? Even once? If so you are a liar, a thief, and a blasphemer and you have to face God on judgment day! Will you be innocent or guilty? The Bible says "...There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10) You know you will be guilty and end up in hell! That's not God's will! Two thousand years ago. Jesus Christ came to earth and lived a sinless life. He took your punishment when he died on the cross. He was buried and three days later rose again defeating death and proving himself God. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ! When Death Comes Knocking!

When death comes knocking at your door you will not be able to pretend your not at home. You will not be able to tell him to come back later. You will have no choice but to answer the door. The Bible says "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27) We all have an appointment with death! The question you must ask yourself is. If death came knocking today. Where would you go? Heaven or Hell? Would you consider yourself a good person? Good enough for Heaven? Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God's name in vain? Even once? The Bible says "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us." (Titus 3:5) Despite what you may have been taught or believe. It is impossible to earn your way to Heaven. You cannot earn it by being a church member, being baptized, confirmed, taking communion, or doing penance.Many think that if they are a good person God will allow them into Heaven. God gave us a way to tell if we are good or not. The Ten Commandments. Let's just look at two. "Thou shalt not bear false witness..." (Exodus 20:16) Have you ever told a lie? Even a "white lie"? "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." (Exodus 20:7) Have you ever used God's name as a curse word? Even saying something like OMG? If you are honest with yourself you will see that you are a liar and a blasphemer and that was just two of the Ten Commandments! Do you still think you are a good person? The Bible says "...There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10) and that "all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags." (Isaiah 64:6) The Bible says "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
