  1. Exodus 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. How stupid are you?
  2. The deal is this. Either you believe that the King James is an accurate translation of the correct manuscripts or you don't. Those idiots that say, "I can lead someone to Christ with any translation," are emotionally invested in changing translations. I can cut a steak with a butter knife, but it is still a butter knife.
  3. John 3 is the conversation of Jesus and Nicodemus where Jesus explains that being born again is the only way to see and enter the kingdom of God. Then he says this, John 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? It sounds like Jesus expected Nicodemus to know this as a master of Israel. And Jesus is described as Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. So I agree with you.
  4. What do you expect from a poster who lists his religion as "other".
  5. I am persuaded that English is not your first language. Was ist Ihre Frage zu Sklven? Welche Verse lesen Sie?
  6. Heresy cannot be judged by understanding the point of view of any group. That kind of reasoning is called relativism. Truth is judged by the written Word of God. You seem to be concerned with the intent of the teacher instead of the teaching itself, which is very difficult to assess. As someone once said, one can be sincere, but sincerely wrong.
  7. Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
  8. If I have learned anything from the documentaries "My Three Sons" and "Family Affair" is that children raised my a single father turn out pretty good.
  9. Mike, I think that personal perfection is referred to here: 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. I also don't think ministry gifts have ever ceased, but only the sign gifts such as tongues, prophesy, faith healers, etc.
  10. Compromise is everywhere. Find a good church and join it. 2 Timothy 3:13-15 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
  11. Three of my grandchildren have been saved and baptized this year. Their church has an altar call after every service. My church also has an altar call after each service. My church is much smaller than theirs, which probably accounts for fewer baptisms, It isn't for a lack of witnessing.
  12. Believe it or not, evangelicals are being targeted by Soros and associates for just this reason. Why people don't read their bibles and trust the simple truths of it, I'll never understand.
  13. The shirt and tie is not mentioned in the Bible, but unless you are advocating that we dress in sandals and greet each other with an holy kiss, I don't see the point of this argument.
  14. I use the term "local church" as a matter of clarity, not redundancy. I do not want to be associated with the universal church folks. I'm glad that you recognize that the church is a local assembly.
  15. I will swerve to miss a deer, dog, turtle, or any other animal on the road, but only if I can do it without wrecking my car or someone else's vehicle. Do any of you remember the bumper sticker "WARNING I break for animals"? That is was a stupid reaction to laws passed to prevent traffic accidents caused by people swerving to avoid hitting animals. Like all bleeding heart policies, it was vacuous and emotional, but ultimately illogical. I also saw a bumper sticker that said, "WARNING I don't break for liberals".
  16. It is far more profitable to attack the flaws in the Theory of Evolution, than to defend the Word of God. William Jennings Bryan made a fool of himself during the Scopes Monkey Trial. He attempted to harmonize the Bible account to fit the then new theories about the flood, the age of the earth, and creation instead of standing on the scriptural account. So how does carbon dating actually work? It ignores the flood's effect on the elements. It ignores that God created full grown animals, plants, and man. Why do animals only evolve within their respective kind, and never outside of their kind? Humans from apes, for example. Why does the geologic column not exist outside of text books? How are creatures found in the lowest strata, presumably the oldest, and not found in any of the other strata, presumably younger, but are then found living today? How does "nothing" compress into a "black hole" then explode and become something? This is science? Star Trek science maybe. None of evolution has been observed, duplicated, nor does it conform to any known law of physics, yet it is called science. It is faith. How are dinosaur footprints found next to human footprints? The answer from the atheists is that dinosaurs had human like feet! Sounds like religious fanaticism to me. What have they got? "Where did Cain get his wife?" "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" Wow! It must be time to abandon the faith of the risen Savior! It must be time to ignore all the prophecies fulfilled to the letter. NO! The Bible is right and the rest is wrong.
  17. It almost appears that he is just trying to get your goat. Almost.
  18. So how does any of that relate to climate change?
  19. God Himself could not help Cain nor talk him out of his works based salvation. Neither can we, as Abel, persuade such on one. We are accepted and he is rejected. Hebrews 10:28-29 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
  20. How old are you, shlomo? I'll never understand why posts like this garner sympathy.
