Hello all this is the account of the preaching done on Sunday July 1st, 2007:

Tonight was much different than any other preaching night. For July 1st is our Canada day and because of that there are many fireworks displays. In Hamilton there is a particularly large display at our bayfront.

I went down to the bayfront with two people. I went prepared to preach, but not certain if it was allowed down at this area.

Anyways, my one friend convinced me to go with him to a particular site on the bayfront. The site is where a group of people from my old (heresy-filled charismatic) church are accustomed to meet on Canada day. I told my friend it was not such a good idea to go there, but for some reason I went along anyways...
(Note: just recently I had emailed my article to many people from my old church; thus making a very "akward" situation)

As we approached the group I felt the akwardness and thus I began to look around for a place to go preaching. (The other two stayed with the church group, so I ended up going alone again... any labourers out there?)

I saw a large line of people waiting to get on a boat. I walked up to this line and talked to one of the workers and asked him if it would be illegal for me to preach here. He told me no it would be fine, in fact this worker was a professing Christian! He encouraged me to go for it!

There were about 50-60 heares I would guess. One man walked right up to me in the middle of the preaching and politely asked me to stop. He told me it was Canada day, and he didn't want his children to hear about hell and sin and so on. (At this point in the message I was just getting into preaching the gospel and grace) I just continued to preach as I normally would and after finishing gave out gospel tracts to the crowd.

Right away a young boy came and enthusiastically took a tract from me; his family were zealous Presbyterians and they gave me words of encouragement.

After this I sat on a bench and the boat worker came up to me asking me a few questions and ended with some encouraging words. After this I got on my knees and began to pray. (I do not think I prayed on my knees in public before, especially with people sitting close by)

I felt weak and discouraged, because I thought of the old church and so on. I just had to pray!

Nevertheless I went on after prayer and found another spot to preach. About forty heard this time. There were many hecklers and many questions.
One man asked me to show him a Bible verse about sin deserving hell. I read to him the following:

Revelation 21:8
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

After I finished preaching for the second time a male teenager came from the crowd and told me that what I said really touched him; he took a gospel tract, please pray for him!

A female catholic teenager began to ask me some questions. She seemed quite respectful of what I was doing, but after I told her that Jesus was the only way to salvation her opinion of me seemed to GREATLY change.

John 14:6
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

She couldn't accept that Jesus was the only Way to salvation and she refused to accept that she was bad and deserved to go to hell. She kept going on and on until a lady came up to us and told us to be quiet.

The female catholic teenager began to vent to this lady with what appeared to be tears of frustration (because of how "closed-minded" I was being) and thus I continued on to the rest of the group and handed out more gospel tracts.

I then went to a large group of teenagers and began to give them gospel tracts. They took them quite gladly; I was slightly surprised. Then I began to preach to them on ground level (this may be the first time I have ever preached without being elevated) It gave them much to think about.

After this I went and looked at the fireworks. As I was watching them I was pondering about all the thousands of people here looking at these fireworks. They all seemed to content and yet I knew it would be accurate to say that the majority of them are headed for the flames of hell. I thought about how easy it is to get distracted from telling the lost, oh how much I need to change (by God's grace of course)

Afer this I walked back to the vehicle and a young teenager ran up to me and told me he had been "jumped." I escorted him to the nearest store and was able to get him some help there.

I prayed that the Lord would have mercy on that young teens soul and on the attackers. That they all would repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ!

Please pray for all the hearers, for all the receivers of the tracts!

Please pray for me; that I could go to prayer more and to the Scriptures, that I could grow in grace and become utterly dependent on the Lord!

Please tell someone about Jesus Christ, do it while you still can!

James 4:14
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

That is encouraging that there are people who still street preach. The gospel gets out to those who are lost. I will be praying for you.
