I think I'll have to break down and try the huckleberries... How bad can they be right?

They have a wonderful-good taste and flavor. Essentially, they are wild blueberries, but the flavor is slightly different (but not by much).

Shown below are Chandler Blueberries:::

It?s the biggest! This is the largest blueberry you?ve ever seen. And it?s sweet and juicy, perfect for baking and just plain eating. Harvest Chandler from mid-to-late season. Harvest Chandler from mid-to-late season. The plant is highly ornamental, hardy and self-pollinating. Grows to 4 to 5 feet. Hardy to -10 to -15 degrees. Shipped in a 3 1/2" pot.

They look kinda like the first one.... They were freestone' date=' also, but the flesh is purple, not yellow or red like store plums.[/quote']
True, they are free-stone. If left on the tree to fully ripen the flesh of the Stanley Prune plum will be more blue than yellow.

I grew up near several cow pastures and every year we would go out and pick bushels and bushels of blackberries. My mom would make them into several types of food (cobbler was my favorite). They were so good!

If you keep an eye out early in the season for the white blossoms, it is easier to find a good location to pick them than it is once the flowers fall off.
