I received this from a friend, and was asked to pass it on. It is self explanatory. This is not an e-mail chain letter or any garbage like that. This is a warning about something very real. I know both individuals in this letter. ****************** Dear Friends, I have lately had calls from a man pretending to be interested in our church. He quickly starts telling me about how he disciplines his children and then asks about your methods. He is really "creepy." I have posted messages in the Christian forums and clubs that I am a member of to warn others of this man. To my surprise, I have found at least 3 other ladies that have gone through what I did. He appa…

Hi~ I am pretty new to this site. But thank the Lord for finding it. :D I was wondering how many people on this board homeschool their children and what lead you to? I have been homeschooling my 13 dd since she was in the 5th grade. And she starts highschool next year. I also have a 10 dd that attends a small charter school and a 4 ds that I plan on homeschooling next year. I am starting to have serious doubts about keeping the 13 dd at home. She wants to attend highschool. Have any of you gone that route? Just blabbing! :) God Bless and have a Blessed New Year! Amanda

Brian Ray Time magazine, in a feature,…

Hey, my life was going pretty well until I got a call the other day saying that the state is refusing to recognize my homeschool high school diploma. I only have one more week of hs left and I would have been done. The state called and said that I would have to take a GED test, and now I am really bummed because I did all the work to graduate and now I will have nothing to show for it. So my options are- 1. take the GED-which stienks because I did all the requirements, or 2. try and transfer to another school and see if they will accept the credits and let me graduate with them. The ironic thing is I am already taking college classes and am having no problem. I am just re…
