  1. TBH, I don't have any Bible app on my phone. With the abundance of Bible sites on the net I just surf to one of those.
  2. If it's just for Christmas I say Merry Christmas. If it's inclusive of Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Boxing Day, Kwanzaa, and New Years I say Happy Holidays. So, some people are making much ado about nothing. That being said, why wouldn't it be okay to say Merry Christmas in ANY church, not just KJB churches?
  3. Galatians 5:16 tells us to "Walk in the Spirit." We're also supposed to be putting on the whole armor of God and girding up the loins of our minds. I'm not saying a servant of the Lord won't have some questions or doubts at times, but, I am saying that the Bible tells us how to avoid these pitfalls.
  4. Who is to say they're ALL angry? This is an assumption on your part. I have protested several times and have only been "angry" one time that I can recall. In most of these protests I was extremely disappointed in the behavior of the person or organization being protested against.
  5. Why would it be hard? Is God there and in control or not, Morales? Trying to hold services elsewhere would not be feasible for this congregation. You really should stop being intentionally obtuse.
  6. Cancelling church IS NOT the answer. It would be a cowards way of handling the situation.
  7. He truly seems to be showing a great deal of honesty and wisdom in this statement. I know that people, including myself, have "piled on" this church and college because of the past transgressions by its past leaders and graduates, and have been slow to forgive and pray for this new leadership. I believe the Lord will continue to use this church and college in spite of those within and without, who try to take it in the wrong direction.
  8. I agree! This has no place in the church house.
  9. I have heard him preach many times. My wife and I almost went to Crown College years ago. What a wonderful servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
  10. We just haven't found that to be the case. Out of all of our friends and family we only have 5 that use Apple products.
  11. And these constant updates and new iPhone fads are why I don't use Apple products.
  12. We don't know. The Bible doesn't say. Being fallen human beings, though, it's a pretty good guess that there was sin of some sort. The fallen human nature was still there.
  13. I don't agree. Remember Noah becoming drunk and his sons backing in to cover his being naked? The one son mocked his father's nakedness. Evil was still around.
  14. In what time period after the expulsion from the Garden hasn't been evil?
  15. I wouldn't have any problem with doing so myself.
  16. Since the beginning of mans existence outside of the Garden of Eden has he been living in "troubled times." The first murder, idolatry, kidnapping, etc all in the first book of the Bible. It led to mankind only being saved by the grace of God from a worldwide flood that destroyed every living thing from off the face of the Earth. TBH, TGL, at times you come across as an alarmist. That's just my opinion. I cannot speak for others. I look at it like this, even in troubled times the Lord is in control and knows what is going on. Nothing that is happening surprises him.
  17. Most of the people I know who have purchased Bibles through them have had nothing but positive things to say about them. They're reasonably priced and are good at offering a smaller sized KJV study Bible with fewer to no references in the text/side notes.
  18. Matthew 2 tells us that they were wise men, not kings. This is a Catholic additive to the gospel story. As Jerry stated, the Catholics have a long history of adding to scripture.
  19. Belmont in Nashville might fit as well.
  20. I can fully agree with that. Many who were depending on her reports being objective and honest in her later works found themselves having to withdraw from her. It was sad to see. Anyone who isn't outraged by these things isn't very responsible IMHO. And it's not just been restricted to the women. In some instances young boys/men have been assaulted.
  21. That's been the problem with a LOT of these types of things. I know Jeri Massi, author and blogger ( Jeriwho.net ) who has documented many instances of abuse, also paints every IFB and SBC pastor as such. Her bias is clear. She is a graduate of BJU.
  22. I sincerely doubt it will be a trend in the IFB movement. There may be some that stray away, but not widespread thing.
  23. I can only go by what the KJV says...three gifts given by wise men. No number of Wise Men. It could have been two, it could have been twenty. No number is ever given.
  24. There's no scriptural basis for three kings when it pertains to the story of the birth of Christ. Matthew 2 is the only one of the four gospels that make mention of the magi from the East. Tradition has it that because of the three gifts, gold, frankenscence, and myrrh, each king brought one gift.
  25. One of the major reasons I have come across is the Bible stating that in the last days the Father would pour out his Spirit on all flesh and that the men AND women would prophesy, and that men would dream dreams. Acts 2:17 is their proof text. They're not comparing scripture with scripture and are cherry picking verses to support their flawed ideology.
