  4. For the past six years or so, we have been attending a Southern Baptist church, where the women regularly wear "pants", even to church. But neither my wife and daughter, nor myself, have said ANYTHING to anyone there about it. We just treat them like brothers and sisters in Christ. Likewise, nobody there, to my knowledge, has said anything to or about my wife and daughter about their always wearing dresses. They just love us an treat us like family.   5. A Mormon once told me that to be saved one must do this and that, etc, and be baptized. "Be baptized?" I asked "What about the thief on the cross? He didn't have the opportunity to be baptized and Jesus told him 'this day" you will be "with me in paradise". He had no answer, but then tried to give me a Book of Mormon. Most of the baptists I associate with, I'm sure, could tell him the same.

What many seem to overlook is that if one of those "drag queens" walked into most churches wearing a frilly dress, folks would be shocked or at least do a double -take because a MAN just walked in wearing women's clothes. But let a woman walk into that same church wearing a plaid shirt and a pair of blue jeans and most wouldn't even notice(at least in Southern Baptist churches). It's because, long ago, THAT became accepted. But why should it be considered any different?

  8. An old timer, I knew years ago, once said "It's a sin if you look twice". I do think there's some wisdom in that. But I remember a deacon's daughter, in the IFB church I was a member of, coming to God's house wearing a dress with a "slit" WAY up her thigh. Another lady would come to the church exposing most of her "cleavage"....Really, WHY? . Just last week, my wife mentioned that the pastor's daughter showed up downtown with shorts so minuscule that her "gluteus maximi" were "protruding".   9. Couldn't put out hay for the sheep, so we all just stayed in the house. Part of the time I sat out on the porch swing, watched the trees sway and the rain come down.. The rest of the time I worked on my little AR15 pistol. Installed a new folding stock adapter, removed the A2 flash hider and installed a "Krinkov" style blast forwarder. The new muzzle device should reduce some of its deafening blast. It's the loudest firearm I have ever shot.
  10. Here at Millstone Farm, we seem to have had little effect from the storm and my raingauge is only reading 2.5''. We are about 45 miles from the Gulf and almost directly North of Panama City. Must have been your prayers Brother.
  11. The center of the eye was projected to make landfall early this morning but as of now it still has not. Now they are saying late this afternoon. Seems it has wobbled around in the gulf overnight. and that gave it time to strengthen. The rain bands are passing over us now and have dropped nearly 2'' so far..   17. "Neither shall a man put on a woman's garment". Just by implication, that phrase tells us that men weren't wearing women's "garments", correct? So if they weren't already wearing women's fashions they must ahve been wearing 'men's duds" right?. Brother, it is talking about wearing the clothes(or things if you must) of the opposite sex. If you want to add a sword, a sling or anything else a "man" might "wear" on his person, I'm sure that could be included too.

Nobody is questioning whether it was "cloth" or animal skins or whatever. The point is; it was a "garment". It's really very simple.
  19. It says "that which pertaineth to a man" . If you're an Eskimo, you wear a man-styled "parka". If you're a 'bronze age" Jew, you wear whatever men wore back then. But there was a DISTINCTION in the clothes of the sexes. In our culture, "Pants" "leggings" or "breeches" have long "pertained" to the men, and likewise dresses or skirts to women. But then you should already know that; right?
