There are already plenty of police who would do a socialist/communist government's every bidding, even to the point of totally disregarding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. When said government proceeds to implement totalitarianism, they will just fire any officers who dissent and there will be an unlimited supply of thugs eager to take their places.

Psalm 23:2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:......... From my observations, sheep prefer to lie down in the dirt. Where all they have is grass, they scratch out a bed. When they rise, they immediately defecate and urinate in their bed go about their day and the next night go back to the holes and lie down again. The feces carries the eggs of whatever parasites the sheep may have, which then hatch, climb the blades of grass and are reingested to complete their life cycle. The parasites feed on the sheeps blood and nutrients and make them sick. The more they eat this, the more their health is compromised. So I can see how a large flock of sheep could foul up an good pasture in a hurry. I don't know much about Biblical shepherds but I'm thinking that, in a semi-arid land such as the land of Israel, a "green pasture" would be too precious a commodity for a shepherd to waste by letting the sheep bed down in one. So I'm thinking that Biblical shepherds, wise ones, would lead the flock to a barren area to lie down so as not to ruin the good, clean grass. Even though we are inclined to lie down in the "dirt" as well, God has enough good pasture, that his children don't need to lie in the filth of the World. He leads us to a green pasture. Open for discussion. ?

Sunday school teacher at my church, tonight at VBS, asked me a couple of questions about sheep. He said he had heard they would not drink running water. I'm going to show him this..... ...and here's one that debunks both the "stupid" and the "running water" myths...

"Lamb's book of life" is only mentioned once n the Book of Revelation, then "book of life of the Lamb" is also mentioned once. "Book of life", on the other hand, is mentioned six times. A believer's name will not be removed from the Book of life . Revelation 3:5 Believers' names.... Will never be removed.... Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, Who is an overcomer? One who has faith....a believer. 1 John 5:4 the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, Whose name will He NOT blot out? 1 John 5:4....a believer. but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Faith...overcomes the world....an "overcomer" cannot be lost because he is born of God (1 John 5:4) Unbelievers' names However, the above verse, by it's very mention does convey the possiblilty of names being blotted out..... unbelievers' names. Therefore, my opinion, is that everyones' name is originally written in the "book of life" and unbeliever's names get blotted out. Here's some more verses for you to read. Exodus 32:32-33. 32Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. 33And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Your name has to already be there, for it to be blotted out. Psalm 69:28, Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous. Same here Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book. You must already have "a part" in the book of life, for it to be taken away.
