In the book Let's Laugh A Little by Leroy Brownlow on page 90, Brownlow says the following:

"A boy who was all banged up went into a boy scout meeting. The scoutmaster looked at him and inquired, "What happened to you?"

He replied , "I was helping an old lady across the street."

"But why did you get hurt?"

"She didn't want to go," answered the boy.

It is hard to help people who don't want to be helped."
