Members *Light*
I wanted to ask the folks here if they believe that the Shroud of Turin is in fact the genuine burial cloth of Jesus. Carbon dating dates the shroud to around 1,200 to 1,400 AD; however, we know that Carbon dating has its flaws. Is this truly the face of God in the flesh, or is it a hoax? I tend to believe that it MAY be a hoax due to the fact that RCC has it as a relic, and can somehow play a role when the Antichrist comes on the scene. When Jesus was nailed to the Cross, and rose from the dead, He told Thomas: "Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing." (John 20:27)" If I am correct, the word "hands" can also refer to the wrists in the Greek, and the shroud shows puncture wounds in the wrists rather than what we would consider the hand in this day and age. I would like to hear your opinions on this, and whether you believe that it is a clever hoax, or the genuine burial cloth of Jesus. God Bless, Daniel
Members Invicta
I cannot see any reason why it would be genuine. RC relics are false What if it was genuine? That would be no reason to worship it. *Light*
