Diligent For The Harvest (Being A Wise Son, Proverbs 10:1-5)
As Christians we have been given the task of the Great Commision. In his direction Christ showed us how we are to go about our task is similar in the way a farmer and his family prepares their fields for the Harvest. Such a task does not happen by accident but rather requires a diligent hand focused on the task. In this passage we see that the results of our task is no arbrtachary but rather is corrilated with the effort we put into it to get the expected harvist results that we want. Those that are diligent to the task will always get results but those who are slack will always miss out.
Proverbs 10 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. 2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. 3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. 4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. 5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
