Voting for one the of two less evils biblical?

Who here needs to go back to basic training and why? Be specific. What are you doing that some of us are missing? Give some positive feedback, not just negative accusations. -

Later in the same post you stated: "I am surprise to see this happening even here in this forum." You 'said it clearly above' "even here on this forum". This focuses the earlier "we" in your post on those of us in this forum. To that I took exception. -

"We"? (You do realize when you use the word "we" you are including yourself?) You and who else here are opening the doors to many gods? Who here is "accepting" (not excepting) whatever comes our way? I and my wife are involved in various ministries that help educate others in solid biblical principles. I take a stand against those that would dilute or sidestep Christian conduct where it is in my power to do so. I raise my children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. And I vote for the candidate that most closely associates himself to the Christian principles found in the Bible. What do you do TGL (aside from cast your negative commentary and aspersions on this forum)? You don't like Trump and Vance? Well, they certainly are not my ideal choice for a presidential ticket either. So, what are you going to do TGL. Vote for Biden (or whoever replaces him as the Democrat candidate)? That will do nothing but accelerate this nation's fall away from God. Are you not going to vote at all? Well by doing that you are still casting a vote because that is one less vote that the candidate that is most conservative would have received. He is one vote closer to losing. What do you propose TGL. Instead of just coming on this forum and spouting negativity, why don't you share with us what you are doing to move this country in the right direction. Why don't you offer us some positive solutions to the negative bile and accusations you keep spewing? Not once can I recall you doing either of these things. It seems all you can do is point your finger. Just remember, when you are pointing your finger at someone else there are three other fingers pointing back at you. -

Okay TGL... You need to tell us when the last time was that America had a TRULY Christian ticket. Based on your insinuation made here we should have been doomed a LONG time ago. -
President Trump Shot in the Ear 7-13-24 He's OK
Napsterdad replied to SGO's topic in Current Events / News
This comes as no surprise to me. Just wait to see what happens if Trump gets elected. I believe the left will become completely unhinged (they're barely hanging on to the one rusty hinge they have left). This is only the beginning. -
Not only has he no original thoughts on the matter, but he has also now taken to copying and pasting in super large font. You know, SGO, a simple link to your sources would be sufficient. Or do you feel it is necessary to YELL at everyone here? You don't like Scofield, I get it, so don't read Scofield then. As for me, I'm tuning out your message. Not that you are necessarily wrong, but your delivery is atrocious.

God is finished with Israel? Really? Romans 11:1-2a I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Romans 11:25-29 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

What is wrong with 'originals only?'
Napsterdad replied to MikeWatson1's topic in Bible - KJV or Modern Version Discussion
Exodus 32:19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. Oh well, there go the originals of God's commandments. We'll never get those back Jeremiah 36:22-23 Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him. 23 And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth. There goes another original...up in smoke. What are we to do without those originals? Now we'll never know what God wanted us to know from those writings. /sarc Fortunately, I have a God that is capable of overcoming the loss of the originals. -

Chicken's okay at Bojangles, but I really like the dirty rice. It's been a while though. Popeye's is hit or miss. Went to one in Orlando and it was likely the worst chicken experience I ever had. Went to one in central Ohio off Rt. 71 and it was fantastic. A lot to be said for who runs the store. -

Funny story...I used to roof with my brother part time, and we went to a KFC in Tonawanda, NY for lunch. They were open and fully staffed, but at the counter we were told they had no chicken. A KFC with no chicken. SMH. I got to thinking this is very appropriate here, selling KFC for votes. You get what you pay for... -

Napsterdad replied to TheGloryLand's topic in General Chats
You don't have much faith in the Lord, do you TGL? Why do you believe in a God that can't even overcome your one vote to fulfill His prophecy. Pretty lame. If that is the case, then maybe we should all isolate ourselves in our houses and remain silent on all issues; for if we say or do something for the Lord, we may completely derail the Lord's plan for mankind. I never realized man had that much power. Edmund Burke is quoted as saying: "All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing". The Bible likewise says: James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. There are no perfect candidates, but to not vote for the best available from those provided is to not do the little bit of good that you could have done. Would that not be sin? Also, if you decide not to vote, please don't express any opinion on the current political climate or issues as you will have surrendered your right to speak on such matters. -

Napsterdad replied to TheGloryLand's topic in General Chats
There is never going to be the perfect candidate until Jesus returns, and then there won't be a need for any candidates. You can choose not to vote at the polls but that, in and of itself, is a vote because that takes a ballot away from the candidate with the better moral standing, which in turn favors the candidate that is less moral. By not voting, you are giving up and freely handing over your portion to the enemy. By not voting you are remaining silent. Your voice for God will no longer be heard in this venue. If all Christians were to remain silent at the ballot box how much more quickly would our constitutional republic dissolve? -
‼️ unScriptural & antiBiblical Heresy ‼️
Napsterdad replied to Dom Jr.'s topic in Bible - KJV or Modern Version Discussion
I look at your OP and I keep coming back to my studies of church history when one of the recommended texts was Peter Ruckman's 2 Volume The History of the New Testament Church. There was some good content in there, but I couldn't get through the first volume because of the constant badgering and insulting of those that did not agree with his position (which often seemed like most everyone that ever picked up a Bible). The entire text seemed to be written while he was doggedly pointing his finger in every reader's face. Much like your posts do. You do realize that most (if not all) here on this forum believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the KJV, right? In other words, you're preaching to the choir. And yet all your posts start right out with an enlarged font. That implies the raising of the finger getting ready to poke it in everyone's face. Then come the barbs: So, unlike you, those of us here are spineless, fence-hopping compromisers... Being such compromisers we have all taught the wicked ones our heretical ways... Are you inferring that we here at Online Baptist are deluded Christians? This is a direct attack on all here at Online Baptist, Mr. Ruckman, oops...I mean Dom Jr. (Red emphasis mine) I want to see you prove this statement from anything that has been posted here by the core membership. Are you pointing your finger at anyone here with this accusation? And then along with enlarged font we have all the "passively" added emoji's and emphases: No sarcasm, anger, impatience, or negativity to be seen here or anywhere else in your post, right? Finally, we are told you are going to treat us with: Well, if you are going to proceed with the same "looking down your self-righteous elongated nose" attitude you can save your time. I don't need it. The regulars here have studied the KJV alongside the other versions likely as much as you, if not more, and there's doubtless little you can add to our understanding, especially when couched in such vitriol. Perhaps you can find a forum where the majority of adherents don't believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the KJV. Maybe your venom will be better received there.- 17 replies

‼️ unScriptural & antiBiblical Heresy ‼️
Napsterdad replied to Dom Jr.'s topic in Bible - KJV or Modern Version Discussion
Thank you, Pastor Matt. That was well stated and exactly how I saw Dom Jr.'s post. There are reading comprehension issues we still need to clear up however from Dom's reply to me. 1. My question to you, "Is this how you reach out to people for the Lord?" was a standalone question asking if it is in the conversational tone used in your post (See Pastor Matt's analysis) that you go out to witness to people. I was not assuming that your post above was trying to get anyone saved. 2. Nowhere did I imply that you were KJVO, "so that’s another error on your behalf." I said "most, if not all, [on this forum] are KJVO. And to imply that being KJVO means that we do not refer to other Bibles or texts is disingenuous at best. All here have most likely delved into the other versions deeply enough to understand why we turn to the KJV when rightly dividing the scriptures. That is what being KJVO is. Through an educated analysis of a number of the other versions we have come to understand that the KJV is the soul truly accurate source of scripture for the English language. The others can be, and often are, used in defense of that position, along with other texts like the Book of Mormon, The Roman Catholic Catechism, Studies in the Scriptures, etc. I have even dabbled in the Quran and the Bhagavad Gita a small bit when those religions have come up. To be clear, no one here would encourage others that do not speak the English language to read the KJV. If that was your meaning, then that was simply an infantile statement.- 17 replies

Wow! I can't wait for your next venom filled tirade. You do realize that most, if not all, here are KJVO, right? Who are you yelling at? Is this how you reach out to people for the Lord? Reading your posts all I can picture is Anger, from "Inside Out". Proverbs 14:29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.- 17 replies

It is rather obvious from previous posts that you don’t agree with female pastors. It is just as obvious from a multitude of posts on other threads that no regular on this forum agrees with female pastors either. I’m sure all on this forum also take great joy in the knowledge that you will not allow yourself to be led into this ditch: Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. I think the primary issue of people like @BrotherTony and me is that you pick out these singular issues and then paint your negativity with such a broad brush of finality: "They're going to take over, it's just a matter of time, we're all doomed, and it is all of us in the Christian Community that are supporting it". All but the pious TGL, of course, who is seated upon his exalted throne before his sacred keyboard pointing out the gaping chasm that the rest of us blind Christians are sure to fall into. "It's just a matter of time". TGL, have you read the entire Bible? Have you read the ending? Are you aware that people have been led astray by the devil since Genesis 3? (Isaiah 9:16, 53:6; Jeremiah 50:6; Matthew 7:15-20, 2 Corinthians 11:13; 1 John 4:1; etc., etc., etc.,)? Are you aware that there will always be a faithful remnant out there following Jesus Christ? Are you aware that in the end Jesus Christ (and therefore we) wins? Sadly, too much of the time I am a "glass half-empty" kind of guy. But even (and maybe especially) for me the majority of your posts are a boat anchor, pulling me down to the bottom of the sea. As Christians we should all strive to be aware of the evil that is around us and steer ourselves and others away from that evil, but to make that our focus and death knell is not what Christ would have us do. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

TGL's theme song (modified from "Accentuate the Positive" by Johnny Mercer) You've got to accentuate the negative Eliminate the positive Latch on to the pessimistic Don't mess with Mister In-Between Maybe it's just a matter of time in YOUR church. I will not go to such a church. The Bible is clear in a multitude of places that in the last days perilous times shall come. Why do you feel the need to focus in on each occurrence to the exclusion of everything positive?

We have to spend responsibly and save where we can, being good stewards with what God blessed us. It’s a Christian thing. Buying cards to tell someone what I can personally is not responsible spending.

Personally, I don't see the need for a Father's Day; or for a Mother's Day. I have four children ranging in age from 34 to 13 and I know without a doubt that they love their mother and me unconditionally. We celebrate Mother's and Father's Day all year long. I am blessed. Valentine's (and now Sweetheart's) Day are equally ridiculous. If you need a special day set aside to tell someone you love them, I have to wonder about the sincerity of that love. I love my wife with all my heart 365 day a year, and I make sure she knows it (not just on February 14). All these "holidays" are just money grabs by Hallmark.

Who said anything about "finding God"? It is quite likely that there is at least some one in the best Appalachian church that has yet to "find God" while there are many in much worse places (Sudan, China, North Korea, etc.) that have. Physical location has nothing to do with "finding God". I would like to go just to see with my own eyes the places where our savior walked. Get the lay of the land. Help the stories in the Bible become more vivid from a first-hand view of the flora, fauna, cities and landscape. I have read extensively of historical events that occurred in America and many other countries and I always gain a much better understanding of those events when I am able to personally see the places. My desire to visit Israel is for no other reason than to sharpen my understanding. If you don't have that desire, well that's good for you. As to your statistics, I don't see Israel being very different from America. Their numbers may be higher, but America is on a crash course to match them. Besides, God hasn't started dealing with them yet. As for them sending Palestinians to America, well they will fit right in with the millions of illegal immigrants already bringing their crime and vice to our neighborhoods.

There is always threat of war in Israel; they live in the midst of their enemies. I'd go too. I don't believe it is any more dangerous today than before this action "started" (has it ever ended?) with Hamas. While you're at it get my wife and I some flights. Round trip. About a full week should do. Thanks. (I'd like to stay longer but I am still a working stiff.)

Who is the ONLY true God according to Christ?
Napsterdad replied to Thinking's topic in Biblical Issues
John 1:1-3 & 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Genesis 1:1 etc. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth... The Hebrew used for God throughout the Genesis creation account is “Elohiym”, which is plural. This speaks of the trinity, God in three parts: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The Genesis account of creation is clear that God created all things: “And God said”. John 1 is clear; Jesus created all things. God and Jesus are one. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Again the plural Elohiym saying Let us (plural) make man in our (plural) image, after our (plural) likeness. Man made in the image of God; soul, body and spirit. Three parts, one being. 1 John 5:5-8 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. John 10:30 & 38 I and my Father are one. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. -
I don't know with whom you are agreeing, but by your answer here and your posts in other topics it surely isn't me. In fact, it appears to me you are only on this forum to gain some kind of cheap thrill by stirring up strife with your vain jangling. Based on this I will bow out of what will most likely be pointless and fruitless discussion. 1 Timothy 6:3-5 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
