A Prayerlessness Nation Is A Powerless Nation

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:" (Isaiah 55:6)

The devil has little to fear prowling around seeking individuals he can overwhelm, confound, and bury in doubt and fear. Many are living a rushed existence, struggling to provide for their family, living defeated lives, lacking hope, seeking love, consumed with anger, worrying about the state of our nation, and drowning in heaps of stress.

Prayerless churches, prayerless bible studies, prayerless homes, and prayerless schools. The devil is having a heyday in our prayerless and powerless nation. We have become unplugged, undone, and far removed from there only real source of power. Jesus Christ is the everlasting power source.
Until a person intimately recognizes their circumstances are utterly helpless, prayer seems like an option on the shelf instead of an avenue offering a ray hope. One must perceive themselves through the eyes of a holy Lord not through the rose colored glasses the world wears.
The application of the above verse in Isaiah is foremost to Israel and the Jewish people in the day and time of the Lord’s return. However, the verse can also be applied to our nation and her numerous woes today.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The Lord desires and yearns to bless His own children of the Jewish heritage, and by spiritual adoption, Gentiles as well.
The Lord placed conditions upon His blessing as stated in the above verse. The conditions are humbleness, prayer, repentance and turning away from wickedness. Today He still promises to heal the land as these specific conditions are met.

For Further Contemplation:
We are a prayerless nation who needs to turn towards a powerful God among the wickedness surrounding us on every side. One day soon it will be too late to call upon the Lord.
