  1. I don't care about the Hebrew OT. I am talking of our English Bible.
I don't care about how the Greek was written or the Hebrew or any others that were involved with the making of the English Bible.
What I am concerned about, is the purity of the English Bible, period.

Then I am done arguing, however I make one more point because OBviously you have a different idea about what the Bible is than what I do. OBviously, all those years before the King James came out according to you the people didn't have the pure scriptures...I beg to differ on that point. And I do believe that the Hebrew Old Testament is important. But, OBviously you don't care. So I am done arguing with you about the Bible at all.

You claim I don't have a Teachable spirit, but I believe in fact that the three fingers pointing back at you are more accurate in this point.

  2. I'm an Auburn fan all the way but I have to pick Alabama because atleast they are the representing some of the South now Texas...well they're Texas. Nice people, wonderful banana pudding and sequine mine's were producing an over-abundance during my college years but they just aren't Southerner's! LOL!!

I agree...Texas isn't really part of the South.

  3. Could the reason be that the Holy Spirit was not residing in men in the O.T.? In the N.T. the Spirit is revealed as God...just wondering.

Like I said before there was NO capitalization in the Old Testament Hebrew, the capitalization that is in the Old Testament was placed there by the KJ translators to make it flow better for English speakers. I noticed that Peter has ignored my post because of two possibilities Either A. He's a Ruckmanite B. He knows I'm right...

  4. Jerry, I sensed the concern in your post so I'm making sure I reply immediately! Unadulterated King James Bibles can be purchased from www.localchurchbiblepublishers.com and to make it easier for people the phone # (517) 882-2112 is under the web address I gave as well! I also appologize Jerry if I put Bearing Precious Seed with something it doesn't belong!! I only can tell you the above information for ordering a KJB is correct. Hope this helps! His by Grace

I'm curious: which Bearing Precious Seed publisher is the Authorized IFB publisher for the KJV? I have a NT by BPS that has these same "prOBlems" in them - not different words, but different capitalization. Is there a Baptist Pope that can give the official imprimatur stamp to a particular organization? And no, BPS is not a single organization, but a banner name that independant printers use. Which ones are approved and "safe", and which ones are not?

I actually believe...that was said in Jest...however I appreciate that information.
  5. The original Hebrew text doesn't really have capitalization...so it is kind of irrelevant to argue on the point of Capitalization in the Old Testament as the point of desertion to a King James Bible. We have Capitalization in English because that is the way our language is written, to flow more English translators of past added Capitalization. Even languages like French have completely different capitalization rules, they don't capitalize days of the week or month names...I don't think you can argue Capitalization as a point to throw out a King James Bible. I can almost see your point on this further-farther thing...but look at the context of Matt 26:39 OBviously when reads the verse it only makes sense for it to mean that he went farther/further along...

And how do you feel about Italized text Peter, is it inspired by God??

  6. Kayla, I like gmail and the chat there as well. Have you ever looked at some of their other stuff? I am considering doing one of their sites for my Sunday school class. It would have a devo thought and stuff, announcements, Bible memory and things to consider for Sundays lesson but it would be open only to members of the class. I teach the teens, so I am thinking that this would be a way to be in the virtual world with them, but also a way I can avoid Fakebook and MySpace and the like. What do you think?

Well, the only caution I place before you is that I would go ahead with Google pages and not Blogger. Blogger is notorious for linking to not so appropriate materials(Word ads). They are both Google operated but the Pages are much more safe in my estimation. They are very user friendly even if you don't have that much knowledge with them. If you have any questions about it I will give you my email address via PM and you can email me if you have any questions I'd be happy to help you.

  7. I think it sounds good.

For the 1st time since my grandson entered the Marines I'm in contact with him because of Facebook. He is my newest friend.

How's he doing? Still stateside? I have two cousins in the Marines, one cousin in the Navy. My Brother-in-law is Army.
  8. Thanks for clarifying I thought it meant Investigating Federal Bureaus... In all honesty however I make it a policy to call myself an.Independent Baptist...I try not to mention that part about being fundamental...i'd rather not be associated with some characters who use that entitlement...not going to.mention names because it could cause OB war #556.

  9. Everyone is telling me to join but, I don't think so. It's hard enough keeping a balance with OB alone.

Now, on the otherhand, I may install that software that allows video/talk for no cost...I can't remember its name.

There are several applications that offer that service, the most popular being Skype . Now what I like to use is Gmail chat it is right in your email(like in your inbox) and with a small download(very small) it works right through your browser to do video/voice chat. It runs through a gmail email address. Basically it's which ever you feel comfortable with, I personally use Gmail because on Skype there is a lot of incidents with phishing... on Gmail only those you have on your list can ever find your or contact you via it. :) Much safer IMHO.
