  1. Were the Apostles part of the Trinity? 17:11- And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
  2. Really? The Trinity (and also all it's MANY theological sub-terms) is mentioned there? 2-The same was in the beginning with God. WHO was with God?
  3. You repeat that as a mantra. Either Jesus was referring to THEMSELVES (Father, Holy Ghost, God-the-Son), or someone else.
  4. Hmmmm. He refuses to answer. What about the REST of you?
  5. Then you have Jesus saying " WE are the only the God".
  6. Then your answer is it WAS "Themselves"?
  7. Is your Holy Ghost a son?
  8. 1-In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Was God (theos). The Word Theos Means God Theos is the basis of the word theology which means, “the study of God.” Theos is used a number of different ways in the New Testament. They are as follows. 1. It Can Speak of the True God When the true God is spoken of in the New Testament, the Greek word theos is used. For example, we read in John’s gospel, In this instance, theos refers to the true God. This is one of the regular uses of this term. 2. It Can Refer to “a God” The singular form of the word theos may refer to a singular god which is not the God of the Bible. When King Herod appeared before the crowd on a certain occasion, the crowd referred to him as “a god.” On this occasion, Herod was equated with deity by the crowd. However it was not with the God of the Bible. 3. It Can Refer to False Gods The plural form of theos can refer to false Gods rather than the true God of the Bible Paul wrote to the Corinthians about the non-existence of so-called gods. He said, The Greek word which translated “gods” in this verse is the plural form of theos. In this instance if makes reference to non-existent gods. 4. The Word Also Can Mean Humans Interestingly, Jesus used the word “gods” to refer to human rulers. We find this usage in John’s gospel when Jesus was talking to the religious leaders about His identity. John records the following words of Jesus. This is the use of the plural form of theos. Instead of referring to the true God, or to false gods, it has reference to earthly rulers. Conclusion: The Context Must Determine the Meaning of Theos Therefore, it is important to understand the context that theos is used to have a proper understanding of its meaning. While God is the primary meaning of this Greek word, it is used with other secondary meanings. As always, the context must be the final determiner. So, the REST of John will help us determine was "theos" really means. (If you have an open mind)
  9. So if Jesus referred to Him as God, he wasn't one...unless you're saying there's TWO Gods....
  10. Maybe you need to have your OWN translation. God is NOONE'S son.
  11. God taught Themselves then SENT Themselves to 'die' for our sins? I am just ASKING.
  12. Rev 3:11- Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12- Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. 13- He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches. -KJV WHO is the God Jesus was referring to?
  13. He doesn't understand what "ONLY" means...
  14. "Heresy" - Jesus' words????? "God-the-Son" is heresy. He is the son of God.
  15. No. You won't listen to them. If you don't have God's spirit (breath) you won't research it on your own.
  16. I am not going to divide the word of God. I take it as it IS. ONLY.
  17. Jesus said he was TAUGHT by God, SENT by Him, was guaranteed he would be RESURRECETED by Him, and given all POWER by Him. Not 'Them'.
  18. You have not done the research on your own translation? First of all it removes Gods name for 7,000 places and replaces it with "the Lord". Except in 4 places.
  19. WHY? It's full of so much error, and it's a form of English we don't use today! Another one rejecting what Jesus said. No- he was pointing out that he was once a spirit, and angel of God,
  20. You said Jesus was truly dead- and God cannot die; why the snide remark? Be careful! I agreed with him!
  21. So, God's Name applies to all 3? That's a new one! I AM saved, and have carefully studied the Bible (diff translations) for 50 years. I surprised you don't realize "the Lord" was a deliberate mistranslation - omitting the Name "Jehovah".
