1. Tonight is our first annual "Music Appreciation Banquet" for those who sing in the choir, special music groups, work in sound, and work in childcare for all the practices these activites require.

Lasagna, salad and bread sticks are on the menu. (and cheesecake for dessert - yummy)

And best of all - I DON'T HAVE TO COOK!!!!!!!

  2. Tonight the kids are having chili dogs with chips, hubby is having bratwurst and sauerkraut, and I'm having lunchmeat and cheese. (trying to clean out the fridge before we go on vacation. hee hee)

  3. I have always been the type to plan/prepare a HUGE meal for Sunday lunch. One day it dawned on me that I was creating a lot of unnecessary stress for myself. Why couldn't we just have BLT's and chips? Wow!! What a concept!! (My hubby pointed out that he had been telling me for quite a while to stop cooking such a large meal... :D )

I still like to cook a larger meal IF I crockpot it, or if I cook it the night before. Sundays are just too stressful to slave over a stove.

  4. I know I'm going to probably be the only one here to say this, but here goes. :D If you understand the NKJV better, then read it. Yes, the KJV is the BEST there is, but I don't like to put God "in a box" so to speak when it comes to the different translations. I think God wants us to understand what we are reading. That is more important than reading the "correct" words. "Thee's" and "Thou's" went out several hundred years ago and I think it's high time that the IFB people understood that.
I sincerely and truly believe that the NKJV is just fine. I read it almost every morning for my devotions.

This is off-topic but how do you use the "quote" feature?
In the upper right hand corner of each individual's comments there is a box that says "quote." Click on it if you wish to quote somebody and it will automatically set you up in the "post a reply" page with the quote there for you. You can delete parts of the quote if you want to - just like you had typed it yourself.
