Members candlelight
It's amazing how certain songs from our youth can trigger memories and feelings after all these years. Â It certainly is. Â Our pastor friend, in southeastern, OH, and his wife don't like the music of Johnny Cash. Â I grew up on Cash, as my dad loved his music and his distinctive voice. Â I have the gospel songs of Johnny and June Carter Cash. Â I also believe Johnny was saved as a young boy. Â And, June Carter was also born again. Â His prOBlem with drugs and alcohol give testimony that the Lord can take away any sin out of a person's life. Â I asked my friends if they ever watched the movie, "Walk the Line." Â They haven't. Â Anyway, on Cash's gravestone is one of my favorite scriptures."Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer." ~ Psalm 19:14Â Edited June 7, 2014 by candlelight
Members John81
Yep, I grew up listening to Johnny Cash as well. When I was a young child my Mom gave me several country albums, including Johnny Cash. I always liked the song Walk The Line. His singing of Gospel songs is great, and I also still like Loretta Lynn's Gospel singing too. candlelight

Members John81
My wife loves the Loretta Lynn Gospel CD I got her several years ago. Â I don't know that he's a Christian, but Alan Jackson put out a Gospel CD several years ago because his mom always wanted him to and it's pretty good. My wife likes to listen to that. candlelight
