Members John81
Can you believe we haven't worked all the details out yet, but it will involved a special dinner or supper, perhaps some family discussion and prayer time, and watching the movie Gods and Generals? Members IM4given
Did you know I was planning to watch Gettysburg for like the millionth time? (All of those confederate cotton shirts in the big battle scenes were made by yours truly! )
Members John81
Do you know I wish they had made Gettysburg as well as they did Gods and Generals?
Members IM4given
Do you know that I think they made Gettysburg with a Yankee bias? (I haven't seen Gods and Generals yet.)
Members AmazingGrace
Do you know that I have not seen Gods and Generals either?
Members John81
Who decided to cast Martin Sheen as General Lee??? Who decided General Armistead needed to whine so much in the movie rather than put forth his convictions in a more manly fashion and not in long, drawn out episodes? Gods and Generals is probably about as close to the perfect Christian/'civil war' movie we will ever see. The portrayal of Stonewall Jackson is virtually flawless and it's so inspiring! I would rank Gods and Generals as one of the best movies ever made.
Members John81
Do you know I would wholeheartedly recommend Gods and Generals to anyone and everyone? I love how they show the central importance of Christianity in Jacksons life; as well as in others.
