Members matie-k
Just today? Did you put them up? Are they wall shelves or floor shelves? My hubby put one up, but then his drill bit broke, so he'll have to do the other one some other day. When they're both done, they'll sort of resemble a fireplace mantle. Administrators HappyChristian Posted February 5, 2008 Administrators Share Posted February 5, 2008 That sounds pretty nice, Katie. I need some shelves in my kitchen. Don't have a lot of counter space, so things just kind of pile. One of these days.....
Members John81
I put new shelves in the kitchen about a year ago and new shelves in the living room a little over a month ago.
Administrators HappyChristian Posted February 5, 2008 Administrators Share Posted February 5, 2008 I'd like a shelf or two above my kitchen door to put things like my decorative teapots. That way things are pretty, but not in the way. We have a couple of bookcases in the front room...and it's so tiny there's no room for shelves. Members John81
One has to get creative to make space where there doesn't seem to be space.
Administrators HappyChristian Posted February 5, 2008 Administrators Share Posted February 5, 2008 Yep - that is what we've tried to do. But there comes a time when it no longer works! :lol
Members John81
I know what you mean! This house was built about 1900 before there was a need for so much of what we have to day.

Administrators HappyChristian Posted February 5, 2008 Administrators Share Posted February 5, 2008 Yeah, mine was built in 1890 - it was actually a tourist cabin to begin with, but someone added a bathroom (thank the Lord!! :Green ) and it became a house. I work in a house that was built in 1885. It is a mansion...just down the street from my cabin. In Heaven I'll have a mansion my own!!!! :thumb
Members IM4given
I've got a Mansion.... Just over the hill top... In that bright land where we'll never grow old And some day yonder... We will never more wonder.. But walk the streets that are purest gold!!! Sing with me !!! :sing: [tube]Ze1exbn9mxM[/tube]

Members John81
The garage where I park my '87 Mercury Grand Marquis was built in 1911 to hold a Model T Ford. When I first moved here there was still an old breeders coop on my back lot. I used that as a small shed for years before finally tearing it down.
