Very few signs of intelligent life exist in this state, and sexual perversion seems to know no bounds. It as if they are under the mind control of some giant enourmous amoeba like creature. Of course, that is merely a hypothesis. I would have to conduct further experiments to verify this.

This is possible, however I feel that perhaps they have been in telepathic communication with the amoeba like creatures that inhabit the waters surrounding the penninula, since they spend a great deal of their time at the beaches. Most natives have the morality of sea slugs, which may be infiltrating their brains while they rest and sun themselves on the beaches by entering their brains through the ear canal. then the sea slugs wrap themselves around the cerebral cortex and communicate directly with the amoeba creatures. of course this is all pure speculation on my part based on my observations of the past five years...

Your speculation could be accurate. Those who spend inordinate amounts of time on the beach seem to develope a slowness of thought and the compulsion to lay in the sun for long hours. While neglecting to dress properly, these people tend to bake themselves as if preparing to be the feast of some expected predator.

Their appearance can be quite grotesque. With next to no clothing on their bodies they seem to prefer to adorn themselves with myriads of brightly colored tattoos, blightly colored and gaudy jewelry, and they pierce themselves multiple times throughout every appendage, including ears, lips, tongues, eyebrows, belly buttons, and other places no respectable person would dare to mention in public!

Madeline pull up a chair, and let me tell you a tale about the good old days...

Hamburgers were not as fast as they are now. Eating out was a treat usually reseved for that greatest day of all days -"Pay Day." The hamburgers were made fresh when you ordered it. You asked for a hamburger, and someone would put a raw uncooked patty, made with 100 % grade A beef, on a grill and cook it while you waited, and then that person would put the cooked patty on a toasted bun, and a nice thick slice of homegrown tomato on it, a crisp lettuce leave, a slice of sweet vidalia onion on it, three or four dill pickle slices, then a squirt of ketchup, mustard, and mayo - if that was what you wanted. Then they put a toothpick in it to hold it all together, and wrap it in a sheet of tinfoil so it would stay nice and hot. About the time your burger was done, your fries would be ready to come out of the deep fryer, all nice and hot. The potatoes had been peeled and sliced into thick slices that very morning, and soaked in ice water until you came and made your request for a hamburger and some fries. If you asked for a shake to go with your burger and fries, you got a shake made with two or three scoops of ice cream, a bit of milk, and whatever flavor or fruit you wanted in it - chocolate, strawberries, bananas, etc. Fast food was not so fast as it is now, but it certainly tasted a lot better...

Here is an ad from Kentucky Fried Chicken (1969), back in the days when it was still only served in Kentucky - the franchise had not gone international yet...
