The nurse got my blood with one stick! That's the first time since the beginning of the year!!

Yay. I do not like getting my blood drawn. I don't like any kind of needles going into my skin.  icky!

My wife had to be on blood thinner for one month after the knee replacement surgery and she hates needles and has very difficult to access veins. Thankfully the Lord worked things out so she got her blood work at the Day Hospital section of the nearby hospital and they have one of those fancy new devices where they stick the finger, drip about three little drops of blood in a cupped spot, push a button and in about a minute it gives the results.

 

Unfortunately, out little hometown clinic can't afford such things and that's where I get my blood work done.

Weather sure has been nice for the last few days, even feels like Fall!

The weather was so nice today I trimmed our hedges and mowed the lawn.

I was almost tempted to do some work today, yet I resisted the urge!

 

According to channel 12 in Shreveport this was the coolest morning since May 14!

It's certainly been feeling like fall, especially in the mornings!

It has been lovely here, too. The cooler morning weather makes the pool feel warmer (because body temps are a bit lower in cool weather).  It's been nice getting into a pool that doesn't seem to shock the system!

The only "pool" I've been in lately is the pool of sweat from trimming those hedges and all that mowing yesterday!

Working inside the house today. Vacuuming, laundry, cleaning up.

 

My wife did cook a couple meals this past weekend!  It had been one month since she last cooked and I was really glad to eat her cooking again.

I'm so glad she's gotten to the point where she can cook some again!  Good news!
