So true John, but for some, in such times as this, they abandon church and God.

Our pastor touched on that in a recent sermon. Tough times can often expose where one really puts their faith. Do they draw closer to God and the family of God or do turn from them seeking their strength and comfort elsewhere?

We survived a serious tornado threat last night. Winds up to 74 mph but no tornadoes around us. One touched down a couple of counties south of us. A worrisome start to Iowa's tornado season.

Praise God! I saw on the radar that a lot of severe weather was in that area of Iowa and I prayed the Lord would be your Shield.

Praise God, the last time dangerous weather was in our area the Lord was our Shield as well.

What a comfort knowing we serve God ALMIGHTY!
