Administrators HappyChristian Posted July 5, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 5, 2018 We had a picnic at church today, with an afternoon service. So for dinner tonight, we had leftovers. Lots of that happening lately. Good stuff!
Members 2bLikeJesus
Visiting my wife's family in Alabama is corrupting me at the dinner table. Had fried breaded catfish, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, and turnip greens. I was doing well until I horrified them by dousing my catfish in malt vinegar and then refusing to put sugar in my tea. Members Invicta
I don'tave an appetite at the moment. Food that I used to love seems unappetising. Saw the Dr today and I have to have a camera down to my stomach which I am not looking forward to. I did spaghetti bolognese todat as a friend was coming and he likes my spaghetti bolognese, but then I found out that he is a vegetarian, I always make it vegetarian for my wife, but then add the meat for me, so I hsad more meat today. Administrators HappyChristian Posted July 14, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 14, 2018 My uncle has been visiting us this week, so we've gone out to eat a few times. Tonight hubs and I picked up some grub at Taco Bell since we were out shopping - and I got my new glasses! Yay! No scratches on my glasses. Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted July 17, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 17, 2018 My mother used to make sardine sandwiches for me to take to school lunch......no other kids would sit near me at lunch time. Â
Administrators HappyChristian Posted July 18, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 18, 2018 My hubs grilled tonight. Burgers, dogs, and kielbasa. He's happy that grilling season is here.
Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted July 18, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 18, 2018 My wife and I grill all year. But grilling here in summer is an unpleasant task, it has been 108 degrees for almost a week. I think your temps are much better being farther north and near the ocean. It was over 90 yesterday, which for this area is very hot. No air conditioning...but today it was a bit cooler. It doesn't get as cold here in winter as in IN, but it does get too cold to comfortably grill. Administrators HappyChristian Posted July 24, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 24, 2018 We grilled again tonight. Hubs cooked burgers, keilbasa, and fish. He enjoyed his supper. =D And our beef is at the butcher's. We'll be getting it on Monday. So, more grilling. =D Jim_Alaska

Administrators HappyChristian Posted August 5, 2018 Administrators Share Posted August 5, 2018 Potluck at church today. Sadly, I will be missing it. I've been sick for a couple of weeks now with a pretty bad cold. Ugh
Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted August 5, 2018 Administrators Share Posted August 5, 2018 Sorry about your cold HC. Summer colds are the worst because that is always when all the good stuff goes on that you miss. I'm batching it tonight but have every intention of grilling burgers for myself. The deer here, so close to the river are amazing. They walk right by me within a few feet while I am grilling, take a quick look and move on for more apples. My presence doesn't bother them one bit.
