Day before yesterday we had Spaghetti Bolognese  I did a vegetarian one for my wife and took some of the sauce and added my minced beef to it.

 

We had quite a lot of the vegetarian sauce left and I was about the freeze it today, when my daughter phoned to say her and her husband were coming for supper.  They are both vegetarians.

 

I had to think quickly, so I did made some garlic mashed potatoes with crème fraîche.

I took some of the sauce and added to minced beef for me, and for the vegetarians added a can of butter beans, topped both with the mash and called it shepherds pie.  Served with green beans, mixed root veg, carrot, parsnip and salsify.  Followed by rhubarb crumble and dairy ice cream.
