Bible College

Not sure if this is the most appropriate forum, but I guess it'll get moved if it isn't :)

Is anyone here currently in Bible college, just left, or just about to attend?

I, God willing, will probably be attending a Bible college in 2008, sooner or later will depend on God I guess.

There is over here only 2 Bible colleges, that have sound teaching AFAIK. So far I don't believe the Lord is leading me that way, I believe I will probably be attending one in the states.

So basically, any recommendations anyone? I only know of a few of them in the states, most of which I wouldn't want to be within a 1 mile radius of.

The ones I have put under consideration, e.g. prayer are West Coast Baptist College, Golden State Baptist College, and Crown.

For a while now I believe WCBC is the one the Lord wants me to attend, but I would like to know of others, just so I can pray about it, and seek my Pastors advice about those colleges.

I'm going to Heartland Baptist Bible College next fall and would highly recommend it.

HBBC is formerly Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College and moved to Oklahoma in the late '90's. My church is one of the primary supporters of it and very heavily involved.

Here's the website. http://www.heartlandbaptist.edu

If I wasn't going to Heartland, I would probably go to either Crown or West Coast.

I would like to through out there that there aught to be real serious consideration of your reason for going.

For instance, if languages is what you want/need the most work in, make sure the college you choose is strong in languages. If you need training in pastoral administration, or music, etc. then pic according to your need.

I have one friend who after after years of training went to a presbyterian college because they were the best at original languages, and that was what he wanted to focus on. Choosing where you are go to school is not a simple thing. It is IMO much more then "here is a list of approved schools, pick one."

Hope that helps. If you have a specific area you are interested in, perhaps post that and we could narrow the search a bit.
