LOSS OF ONE OF YOUR FRIEND ON ONLINE BAPTISTS

Elaine, thank you for taking the time to write to all of us here and tell us about your sorrow. Please know that you and your family will be in my prayers, and as you have read, the prayers of many others who counted Tim as a good friend.

When we travel down life's path,
And wonder why things happen.
We should not ask, "Why me, Lord?"
But give it into His hands.

Elaine, So sorry to hear about this, my prayers are with you and your son, that our Father in heaven would give you courage, strength, comfort, and peace of mind.

I really enjoyed Tim and his post on this board. From all that he has said on this board I know he loved God and his family.

My jaw literally dropped reading about this.

Tim will be greatly missed. He was a good man I considered a friend here. I praise God that one day we will meet in heaven.

I pray the Lord will bless and keep his family. :pray

I found this post by Tim, his favorite song. He is now with Jesus.

One of my favorites

SOFTLY AND TENDERLY JESUS IS CALLING

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
Calling for you and for me;
See, on the portals He?s waiting and watching,
Watching for you and for me.

Refrain

Come home, come home,
You who are weary, come home;
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner, come home!

Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading,
Pleading for you and for me?
Why should we linger and heed not His mercies,
Mercies for you and for me?

Refrain

Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing,
Passing from you and from me;
Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming,
Coming for you and for me.

Refrain

O for the wonderful love He has promised,
Promised for you and for me!
Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon,
Pardon for you and for me.

Refrain

Elaine, I am at a complete loss for words as well. I just found out about this now, as I have been out of town until this past Thursday.

May the Lord be with you and your family and comfort you. Bro. Tim will be greatly missed here at Online Baptist. He was a good friend to me and doubtless others as well.

Elaine, I just saw this. I'm so sorry for you and your son and all Tim's friends, but rejoicing for him. My pastor preached recently about how we need to be preparing ourselves to see our Savior face to face. We just never know, do we, when He's going to call one of us home. Praying that you will experience His comfort and strength during this difficult time, and grace for the days ahead.

Elaine,

We all do appreciate you taking the time to let us know about Tim's passing. The internet can (and does) seem so impersonal at times, and too often we fail to realize that the folks on the other end are real people with real heartaches and trials......just as real as our own. I've often wondered if I were to suddenly leave this life, if anyone would take the time and effort to let my "internet friends" know about it. We're grateful that you did, because Tim added so much to this board and he will certainly be missed.

May the Lord continue to comfort and strengthen you and your son in the days ahead. Let us know if we can help in any way.
