Members Wilchbla
In 1964 a research student and US Forsest Service personel unwittingly cut down what was the oldest living tree at the time for research purposes. The tree, a Great Basin Bristlecone Pine named Prometheus, was estimated to be 5,000 years old. As a result of this the location of the current oldest tree in the world named Methuselah (4,841 years) is kept secret from the public.
